Ross Butler, Harry Shum Jr & More Attend 'Blue Bayou' Premiere

Ross Butler steps out for the premiere of the new movie Blue Bayou held at DGA Theater Complex on Tuesday (September 14) in Los Angeles.

The 13-year-old Shazam: Fury of the Gods actor showed his support for the upcoming film, which hits theaters THIS Friday (September 17).

Also in attendance at the premiere were Harry Shum Jr, Dianne Doan and Manny Jacinto, Shang-Chi stars Akwafina and Benedict Wong, and Jimmy O Yang, as well as the movie’s writer, director and star Justin Chon, and his young co-star Sydney Kowalske.

Here’s a synopsis: Antonio LeBlanc (Chon), a Korean adoptee raised in a small town in the Louisiana bayou, is married to the love of his life Kathy (Alicia Vikander) and step-dad to their beloved daughter Jessie. Struggling to make a better life for his family, he must confront the ghosts of his past when he discovers that he could be deported from the only country he has ever called home.

If you missed it, last week Ross was in attendance at a New York Fashion Week show, as well as the NextGen Summer Party over the weekend.

Demi Lovato & The 'Glee' Cast To Reunite To Honor Naya Rivera at GLAAD Awards

Demi Lovato and the cast of Glee are both set to return to the GLAAD Awards for the upcoming April 8th ceremony.

Glee stars will reunite to honor the late Naya Rivera and her character Santana Lopez with a special tribute, with an introduction from Demi, who played Naya‘s love interest in season five.

According to GLAAD, the tribute will honor the ten-year anniversary of Santana’s coming out as lesbian in the GLAAD Media Award-winning series and spotlight the character’s impact on LGBTQ teens and Latinx LGBTQ representation on television.

Glee cast members set to appear include Jacob Artist, Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, Vanessa Lengies, Jane Lynch, Kevin McHale, Heather Morris, Matthew Morrison, Alex Newell, Amber Riley, Harry Shum Jr., Becca Tobin, and Jenna Ushkowitz.

“I’m honored to be joining my GLEE co-stars at the #GLAADawards to pay tribute to LGBTQ teens and honor the legacy and impact of Naya Rivera and her character Santana Lopez. April 8 on @hulu and @YouTube @GLAAD,” Darren shared on Twitter.

Also set to separately appear at the 2021 GLAAD Awards is Matt Bomer, who was a guest star on Glee.

Back in 2016, Demi received the GLAAD’s Vanguard Award, while Glee has picked up two GLAAD Awards for Outstanding Comedy Series in 2010 and 2011.

The 2021 GLAAD Awards will take place on April 8th, premiering exclusively on GLAAD’s YouTube page starting at 8pm ET/PT. It will also start streaming on Hulu starting at 10pm ET/PT that night, and be available to stream on-demand on Hulu until the end of June.

Darren Barnet Replaces Charles Melton In 'Love Hard' With Nina Dobrev

Darren Barnet has been cast in the upcoming romantic comedy Love Hard, alongside Nina Dobrev!

The 29-year-old Never Have I Ever actor is actually taking over the role Charles Melton was originally cast in, Deadline reports.

Charles had to drop out of the film because of scheduling conflicts with Riverdale.

The Netflix movie follows an LA girl, unlucky in love, falls for an East Coast guy on a dating app and decides to surprise him for Christmas, only to discover that she’s been catfished. But the object of her affection actually lives in the same town, and the guy who duped her offers to set them up IF she pretends to be his own girlfriend for the holidays.

Harry Shum Jr., James Saito, Mikaela Hoover and Heather McMahan are also joining the cast of Love Hard, with previously announced Jimmy O. Yang. Hernán Jiménez will direct.

Shadowhunters' Harry Shum Jr Remembers Original Magnus Bane Godfrey Gao After His Untimely Passing

Harry Shum Jr is mourning the loss of a fellow Mortal Instruments family member, Godfrey Gao.

The 35-year-old model and actor, who played Magnus Bane in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, suddenly passed away after collapsing on set.

Harry, who played Magnus in the Mortal Instruments television show, Shadowhunters, shared his sentiments after finding out about his passing.

“I am shocked and heartbroken to hear of Godfrey Gao’s untimely passing. He was a pioneer in the Asian community that stretched our imaginations on what was possible in the industry. To the original Magnus Bane who left us too soon, I hope you know that you made an impression on the world that will last forever. My condolences to his family and friends. #ripgodfreygao,” he shared on Instagram.

Katherine McNamara Shares Sweet Thank You To 'Shadowhunters' Fans After People's Choice Awards Win

Katherine McNamara is giving a big shout out to all the Shadowhunters fans, following the show’s final win at the 2019 E! People’s Choice Awards

The 23-year-old actress, who played Clary Fray in the Freeform series, headed to Instagram just after the show was picked as the winner of the Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show of 2019.

“Thank YOU, angels!!! We know how rare this is. How incredible it is to win two years in a row!” Kat wrote along with a photo of her with Dominic Sherwood and Luke Baines on Instagram. “This is a testament to you, angels.”

She continues, “This show-this fandom – this family is lightning in a bottle. This award is a celebration of what YOU have built. You have taken Shadowhunters beyond a story and created a community of love and acceptance for all. This award is for you. This is your legacy, angels! Long live the ShadowFam! #PCA #TheSciFiFantasyTVShow #ShadowhuntersLegacy @peopleschoice.”

Harry Shum, Jr., who couldn’t make it to the show, also shared a thank you message on his own Instagram.

“Woke up this morning to the wonderful news that the #Shadowfam won @peopleschoice award for Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy of 2019 for the second year in a row. Giving all the love to you, the people behind the scenes that worked tirelessly on the show and these gorgeous humans (@domsherwood @kat.mcnamara @lukebaines) for representing all of us on the red carpet,” he wrote. “I’m smiling all the way from New Orleans wishing y’all a f-ing fantastic Monday.”
