The planned year-long hiatus will begin in March of 2016 after they finish promoting their fifth album. They are apparently not planning on doing a tour for the fifth album, People reports. They will all pursue individual projects during the break.
News of the band’s hiatus first came from a UK tabloid, which adds that each member of the band intends to get back together after the break.
We have reached out to One Direction‘s rep but have not heard back.
In the video, directed by Ben and Gabe Turner, each member of 1D got to experience real astronaut training including using a Partial Gravity Simulator, interacting with Robonaut and driving the Space Exploration Vehicle rover.

“I think we just wanted to kind of drop it out of nowhere,” Harry said of the single’s surprise release. “Usually we kind of do a big run-up to it and we thought it’d be fun this time to just kind of drop it, and it was fun.”
