“It was an ordeal, but I am so grateful to the MRE, US consulate, and especially Caroline and Adriana at LATAM airlines for separating from the pack and not only empathizing with our situation but actively pursuing a solution,” Holland captioned the Instagram photo below on Saturday (May 18).
“This experience could have been far far worse, I consider myself invaluably lucky,” she added.
Holland Roden is reportedly stuck at Brazil’s São Paulo–Congonhas Airport after authorities told her that her visa was invalid.
The 32-year-old Teen Wolf star was headed to a fan convention when officials stopped her and her agent and have since held them without food or water.
Holland took to her Instagram to explain the situation, writing, “After two years of traveling to Brazil with this passport and this visa with no problems, to meet fans and make friends, I am taken aback by the accusations and the treatment that faced me from the Brazilian Police today…Please urge your country to have reasonable treatment to people entering the country with valid identification.”
Holland‘s representative added in a statement to People, “Her visa is valid and has traveled to the country two times this year with the same visa. We are desperately seeking help from the U.S. embassy and Brazilian government. We fear they will send her back without reevaluating her situation. The only person she knows there is her agent, Michael Brooks, and the Brazilian officials are treating them like criminals and are trying to separate them. We need the public to know about this aggressive and uncalled for behavior.”
Holland is still hoping to attending the convention on Saturday (May 18).

Holland Roden just joined The CW’s Jane The Novela pilot!
Deadline reports that the former Teen Wolf starlet will be playing Sienna, Felix’s not-so-regular sister who is determined to save the world, one endangered animal at a time; hopefully using her family’s money.
The pilot takes place at the intersection of Napa Valley wine country and the San Francisco art scene and pairs family secrets and sins of the past with twists, tropes and a bloody bottle of red. It centers on Estela (Jacqueline Grace Lopez), an up-and-coming art curator who has spent years playing it safe and coloring within the lines. But a shocking secret changes everything and forces her to live a double life.
Being “in the tradition” of Jane the Virgin, Jane the Novela mirrors the setup of the original series. It too follows a driven, imaginative twentysomething Latina woman who is torn between her boyfriend, Luen (Remy Hii), and Felix (Hunter Parrish), a handsome, rich guy.
Ivonne Coll, who plays Alba on the original series, will play Camila, Estela’s adoptive mother; and Benito Martinez is Raul, the winery’s enigmatic riddler.
It’s the night before the Oscars and there are so many stars stepping out to party the night away!
