Ian Somerhalder stops by VH1′s Big Morning Buzz Live with Carrie Keagan for an interview on Thursday (March 14) in New York City.
The night before, the 34-year-old Vampire Diaries star appeared on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live! during a taped appearance from the 2013 SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas.
“We work really hard,” Ian said about the show. “It’s nine months, anywhere between twelve to fifteen hours a day, five days a week, and then traveling every weekend. I took eighty-three? Or eighty five flights last year. That’s a lot of moving!”

On his character Damon Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries: “I never realized how important humor is in life and work. Humor is a medicine for pain basically. I found that when you have fun in whatever you’re doing, life is just better.”
On his upcoming project Time Framed: “The director, Sinisha Nisevic, is a very dear friend of mine and an incredible artist. It’s rare to be part of a film where you can kick serious ass, drive some of the world’s most incredible eco-friendly sports cars, and don a beautiful suit.”
