Il Volo meet up with Pia Toscano at the 2011 Holiday Tree Lighting and Opening Of L.A. Kings Ice at Nokia Plaza L.A. LIVE on Friday night (December 2) in Los Angeles.
The guys — Piero Barone, Gianluca Ginoble, and Ignazio Boschetto – just dropped their new holiday EP which features five holiday songs.
Songs include “Silent Night,” the German version “Stille Nacht,” “Panis Angelicus,” “The Christmas Song” featuring Pia and a medley of classic Christmas songs including “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Let It Snow” and “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.”
Il Volo will also be featured on the Jonathan Ross Christmas Special on ITV1 in the UK. The special will air on Friday, December 23rd.

The guys — Gianluca Ginoble, Piero Barone, and Ignazio Boschetto — are on tour, promoting their debut, self-titled album.
The performers were highlighted in a recent NY Times article.
Tony Reins, Il Volo‘s prodcuer said of their new demographic, “In the beginning all of us thought that because of their kind of music, the audience would be from 35 up. But now we realize that they can conquer the kids. The younger generation all over the world, they’re used to rap. They never had the chance to listen to this kind of music. But now Il Volo is spreading a new kind of feeling. They are conquering every age.â€
“It’s great because we sing traditional and pop songs. When people say that we are like the Jonas Brothers, it’s a great feeling,” Piero told the show.
The trio have been traveling throughout America promoting their debut album.

The trio sat down with US Weekly recently and dished about their musical hearts. “We listen to every kind of music. We listen to everything from Elvis Presley to Pavarotti. We hope to bring our music to the younger generations,” they shared.

Made up of Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble, the trio first appeared on the popular Italian talent show Ti Lascio Una Canzone and dazzled viewers with their flawless rendition of the Italian standard “O Sole Mio.”
Il Volo‘s self-titled debut album, which was released in Italy late last year, has already been certified platinum! Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca worked with a number of renowned producers including Humberto Gatica and their album is coming to the US on April 12th!
The guys shared in a statement about their music, “We want to share our love for this music with poeple all over the world, including kids our own age.”
