Selena Gomez wears a black dress while stepping out for Variety’s Hitmakers Brunch held at City Market Social House on Satruday (December 3) in Los Angeles.
The 30-year-old entertainer was one of the honorees at the event, for Film Song of the Year for “My Mind & Me.”
Also in attendance were Dua Lipa (Hitmaker of the Year), Omar Apollo (TikTok Future Icon Award), Kim Petras )Innovator of the Year) and Imagine Dragons (Group of the Year), who were honored as well, plus presenters H.E.R. and Jack Harlow, and Justin Tranter.
On the carpet, Selena dished on the new music she’s been working on.
“I am so happy, and you’re going to be so happy when you hear the music, I promise,” she told Variety‘s Marc Malkin. “I want everyone to feel good when they hear the new record.”
She also described it as powerful, empowering and really happy.

Dane DeHaan flies through the air on a boat while starring in the video for the Imagine Dragons song “I Bet My Life.”
“As the first video on our new album, it was especially important that we capture the emotion of the song,” frontman Dan Reynolds said of the clip. “Although it was written about my sometimes strained relationship with my parents, our director Jodeb had a powerful vision for how the feeling of the story could be portrayed. We were also lucky to have such amazing talent to work with in our lead actor Dane DeHaan.”

Nicola Peltz steps out for an appearance at the after party following the premiere for her new movie Transformers: Age of Extinction on Thursday (June 19) in Hong Kong, China.
The 19-year-old actress sure is stepping up her fashion game for the press tour. She looked stunning earlier in the evening at the big red carpet event!
Nicola was joined at the party by her co-star Jack Reynor and his fiancee Madeline Mulqueen. They were treated to a special performance from the band Imagine Dragons, who perform the movie’s theme song “Battle Cry.”

Imagine Dragons takes over the stage at Rumsey Playfield for the Good Morning America Concert Series on Friday morning (July 5) in New York City.
The band – Dan Reynolds, Ben McKee, Wayne “Wing” Sermon and Daniel Platzman — hit the stage to perform “It’s Time”, “Radioactive”, “On Top of the World” and “Demons”.
“We like to — we wanted to do something that was out of the box,” the band shared about the video for “Radioactive”. “I think most people heard it and thought, it’s going to be the postapocalyptic world. We wanted to present that a little different.”
