“We were thinking ‘Rise’ is kind of our first staple song that people might know us for, outside of our core fans, so were thinking for the next radio song, the next single, we don’t want to stray too far away from that sound that we kind of laid the ground work for,” Jack J said about the song on the Zach Sang Show. “It felt like a good segue, it was a little less dance tropical than ‘Rise’ was, but it still has that element in the drop. It’s still very upbeat.”

Jack & Jack have a gorgeous new song out called “Closure,” and we can’t get it out of our heads.
The pop-rap duo dropped the break-up anthem on Friday (April 6).
“Think I saw a red flag ’bout a couple months back / Should’ve left it at that,” they sing. “Yeah we burn and we crashed/ Always thought it would last/ Time I’ll never get back.”
“What’s the point in closure, when it’s already over,” they conclude in the chorus. “I’ll be OK, OK, OK.”

Jack & Jack have come a long way since their days on Vine and we couldn’t be more proud!
The duo – Jack Johnson and Jack Gilinsky – recently opened up about how they’ve changed since getting their start on the social media app and their music’s progression since their 2015 EP Calibraska.
“The feel of it is much more mature, I think that kind of goes without saying because Jack and I have matured as humans. What we liked back then, we don’t like now. You just progress as a human and so I think the biggest thing is that it sounds like something that people can rally connect with,” Jack J explained on the Zach Sang Show.
Jack G added, “Calibraska is the first body of work…the first time that I really feel foreshadowed what we’re doing now. Listening to the early, early stuff it’s like ‘I don’t know. Are these kids just doing it for money?’ But listening to the Calibraska stuff, you can hear the potential…it’s fun to look back at. You kind of laugh at it because we were just kids but we’re still just kids and we’re making music but I think we kind of have it figured out to a point where even grandmas can listen to it!”
