Jackie Evancho heads out of the ABC Studios after her appearance on Live! With Kelly and Michael in New York City on Tuesday (April 26).
The 16-year-old singer performed her new original single, “Apocalypse” on the show, after performing it on Today the day before.
“I’m not going to get rid of my classical voice, because that’s my roots, that’s what I love the most,” Jackie recently shared about expanding beyond classical. “But I do want to test out the contemporary side of my voice, because I’ve just discovered that I had it and it’s really fun to experiment with.”
She added, “To me, there’s really no limits to what I can do right now, because I really just want to see what’s best for me. So I can’t just put myself in one spot.”

This is Jackie‘s third single off of her upcoming album, following “All of the Stars” and “Safe and Sound”.
Jackie‘s rendition of “Writing’s On The Wall” will hit iTunes on Friday, January 29th.

The 15-year-old singer debuted the video just before her Facebook chat with fans.
“I see the song as being about acceptance and being who you truly are. #BeYou!” Jackie wrote about the video and track.
She added, “Some that see this may have strong feelings against it, however I believe we are all unique and, as my Pope says, ‘Who am I to judge?’ I pray we can all learn to love and accept one another.”
