The social media star recently became the first Latina Youtuber to launch her own cosmetics company!
Jackie, who named the brand J’dez, opened up about the experience of self-funding her company and the importance of following your dreams.
“Having my own cosmetics brand has been a dream of mine for years…It will never be the perfect time to do something and you will always find excuses to postpone things. For me, I either followed my dream or bought a house. I could continue just dreaming, but I’d rather take a shot and live my dream,” Jackie told Forbes.
As for the best advice Jackie says she’s ever received?
“To never give up no matter how impossible things may seem and to never compare my path with someone else’s path. If you fail, it’s okay. Accepting failure opens the door to clearly see what you need to learn,” she said.
