Jake T. Austin suits up in a Topman suit for the 2012 Ronald McDonald House Gala at the Waldorf-Astoria on Monday (May 21) in New York City.
Last week, it was announced that the 17-year-old-actor would be the first ever youth ambassador for the Ronald McDonald House.
“It’s an honor and a pleasure to have a bright and talented young man like Jake T. Austin representing the House,” said William T. Sullivan, president and CEO of Ronald McDonald House New York. “His dedication to our organization is already a hopeful beacon for so many of our family members who look up to him and appreciate him for his charitable endeavors, as well as his work in Hollywood. We welcome him to our family.”

The 17-year-old actor was just announced as the newest youth ambassador for Ronald McDonald House, and provide a new voice for children facing the greatest challenge of their lives as they battle pediatric cancer.
“We take our health for granted, when these kids are fighting for their lives every day,” Jake shared in a statement. “RMH-NY gives them and their families a place to feel comfortable and protected while going through these treatments for severe illnesses. I wish I could give these kids back one-third of the joy they have given me.”
Jake will be introduced during the organization’s 20th Anniversary Gala event in New York City later this month.

The 17-year-old actor joined others in a fun-filled weekend which included a screening of The Lucky One, plus a golf tournament, 5k run, brunch and a special dinner at the Sparks residence.

The event highlighted NYLON’s history as a pop culture innovator and featured an installation of 13 covers from the past, selected personally by Marvin Scott Jarrett. Samantha Ronson and Benji Madden provided the music for the event, which also included a photo booth where guests were photographed in front of NYLON cover art and became cover stars themselves.
FYI: Jennifer wore an AllSaints dress with Miu Miu heels. She accessorized with Tarina Tarantino earrings and a House of Harlow ring.

Jake T. Austin reunites with his former on-screen mom Maria Canals-Barrera at The Cinema Society & Grey Goose’s screening of Thin Ice held at the Tribeca Grand Hotel on Monday night (February 6) in New York City.
The flick follows an insurance agent who is looking for a way out of frigid Wisconsin and is blackmailed by an unstable locksmith in the theft of a rare violin that belongs to a retired farmer.

Over the weekend, Jake was rooting for the Giants in the Super Bowl.
