Co-written by Florence + The Machine‘s Isabella Summers, the two musicians collaborated on the track which made it’s premiere this week.
If you don’t know, Thomas, he’s actually the creator of tropical house and first coined the term 5 years ago. Thomas is also the one who urged his manager Myles Shear to sign now superstar Kygo.
“‘Rise Up’ was written ages ago, and it was when I was still in school, and I was like thinking whether I should do this. And it’s basically just a song about not caring about people giving you unnecessary hate,” Jasmine shared on her Snapchat. “The song for me is about when I was quite young…and I know exactly what I want to do.”
She added, “I think it’s a great message that I want people to be able to do the things that they love even if they get hate for it.”

Jasmine often reconstructs today’s biggest pop tracks, which has landed her over 2 million subscribers on YouTube and 500 million views to-date!
Her affinity for sparkling dance-pop can also be heard on her debut single “Adore”, which appeared on her Adore EP through Atlantic Records last fall.

Ellie Goulding shows off her two awards after performing at the 2015 40 Principales Gala Awards held at Palacio de los Deportes Pavilion on Friday night (December 11) in Madrid, Spain.
The 28-year-old “On My Mind” singer picked up the honors for Best New International Artist and Best International Song. Jasmine Thompson also performed at the show.
“It goes without saying that writing a song with someone you are friends with and someone you get on with, you can’t really replace that with anything,” Ellie recently shared about reuniting with rumored flame Niall Horan to write songs.
She added, “I write the best songs with someone I feel truly comfortable with. So, definitely I think it will be a laugh.”

Jasmine Thompson takes the stage in plaid to perform at 2015 Sanremo Giovani held at the Ariston Theatre on Saturday (November 28) in Sanremo, Italy.
The 15-year-old British singer recently posted a live cover version of Florence + the Machine‘s song “Never Let Me Go,” which you can watch below!
“Me singing ‘Never Let Me Go’ by Florence + The Machine at my very first headline show at Islington Academy, London on 20 November 2015,” Jasmine wrote. “Performing this song was always one of my favourite moments in the set.
