Josh Hutcherson brings his own Canon camera on the red carpet at the premiere of The Rusted at AOL Build on Thursday night (October 22) in New York City.
The 23-year-old actor was joined by filmmaker Ron Howard and Jena Malone for the event, which was part of Canon’s Project Imagination: The Trailer. You can now watch the film online at imagination.usa.canon.com.
Speaking with MTV recently, Josh opened up about how proud he was to read Jennifer Lawrence‘s recent essay on the wage gap in Hollywood.
“I was a little late to read it. Someone was like, ‘did you read that thing about Jen?’ and I was like, ‘No? What?’ Because I’m not on social things, or whatever. To even have to say the words ‘women’s pay’ sounds so backwards and f***** up and not modern in any way, shape or form. And so for Jen to use her platform to speak about it in her classic Jen way, just blunt, saying what she thinks, I think it’s great,” he shared.
Josh added, “I’m really proud of her, and happy. She’s always been a little gun-shy she’s always said what she thinks, but as far as tackling issues, she’s never really stepped up to do that. It’s nice to see her now taking that step, being progressive, and using her voice not just to make people laugh.”
FYI: Jena is wearing Brian Atwood shoes. Josh is wearing J Brand jeans and The Frye Company boots.

There, the 30-year-old actress got to check out the 360-degree digital content using the Samsung Gear VR first hand.
In her feature with Flaunt, Jena opened up about the appeal of The Hunger Games and what drew her to the project.
“It’s really kind of easy to lump them all together, like Harry Potter, and Twilight, and Divergent. There are so many different things, and I wondered if this was all just another youth fixation? And then I read the book and I realized, ‘Holy s***, these books are talking about war in a way that is so unusual. These books are talking about war and how they interact with everyday people in a way that KTLA, or a Los Angeles news program, whatever, evening news, won’t even touch upon, you know?’” Jena shared.
She added, “And I thought that’s really f****** interesting. These eight-year-old girls, 16-year-old boys are hungry for the truth of war. So, I guess that the most exciting thing for me, is that they were really interesting anti-war novels. And it made me want to dig even deeper into the truth of what it is to be war-torn. Whether it’s through the country, through your mind, through your body; all of these things and how war penetrates people.”
