'iCarly' Is Finally Coming To Netflix!!

OMG! iCarly is finally heading to Netflix!

Fans have been wanting this day to come for so long and it’s finally happening on February 8th.

The downside to this great news is that only the first two seasons will be on Netflix. There is no word yet on the other four seasons.

Here’s a synopsis: A show within a show, iCarly follows Carly Shay and her two best friends, Sam and Freddie, as they create a webcast for and about kids their age while grappling with everyday tween problems and adventures. Carly lives with her older brother and guardian Spencer and produces her web show from a makeshift studio in the loft upstairs.

Due to Carly and Sam’s hilarious banter and great chemistry, iCarly becomes an internet sensation and a pop phenomenon blooms with the weekly webcasts featuring everything from comedy sketches and talent contests to interviews, recipes and problem-solving.

iCarly
of course stars Miranda Cosgrove in the title role, along with Jennette McCurdy as Sam, Nathan Kress as Freddie, Jerry Trainor as Spencer and Noah Munck as Gibby.

It was recently revealed that iCarly will be coming back for a revival series on Paramount+, but only some of the cast has been confirmed so far.

'iCarly' Reboot Producer Answers Questions About Jennette McCurdy & Noah Munck

iCarly was announced to be returning for a revival series on Paramount+ in 2021.

However, fans were disappointed that only Miranda Cosgrove, Nathan Kress and Jerry Trainor were attached to the project, and that there was no Jennette McCurdy as Sam, or Noah Munck as Gibby.

After the news was announced, one of the producers of the reboot, Jay Kogen, responded to tweets from fans inquiring about the actors’ involvement in the show.

On Jennette returning, he said, “It’s her call,” and as for Noah, he shared that “We’ve approached him.”

Jay also dished that the new iCarly will be geared more to adults than kids, and that it will be a “Multi cam with some single cam elements” series.

OMG!!! An iCarly reboot is in the works!!

The show is getting a revival at the newly rebranded Paramount+, formerly CBS All Access, TV Line reveals.

Series stars Miranda Cosgrove, Nathan Kress and Jerry Trainor are all confirmed to reprise their roles in the new series. No word if Jennette McCurdy or Noah Munck will return, but we’re hoping they’ll at least stop in for guest appearances!

In case you forgot, iCarly ended with the web show going on hiatus while Carly went to Italy. She and Freddie also shared a goodbye kiss, so here’s hoping they’re together in the reboot!

iCarly aired for six seasons on Nickelodeon, from 2007 to 2012, and was a big fan favorite. It also spawned the spinoff Sam & Cat, which of course followed Jennette‘s Sam and Victorious‘ Cat Valentine, played by Ariana Grande.

If you missed the news, just a couple of months ago, Nathan and his wife London announced that they are expecting baby No 2!

Jennette McCurdy Opens Up About Her Eating Disorder Battle

Jennette McCurdy Opens Up About Her Eating Disorder Battle

Jennette McCurdy has decided to bravely open up about her health.

In support of National Eating Disorders Awareness week, the 26-year-old actress and singer decided to pen a very personal letter for Huffington Post where she opened up about her own struggle with an eating disorder.

“My disordered eating started when I was 11. As a child actress working in Hollywood, I quickly learned that remaining physically small for my age meant I had a better chance of booking more roles,” Jennette writes. “Unfortunately, I had a trusty and dedicated companion ready to help me with my burgeoning anorexia: my mom!”

Jennette then explained how her mom struggled with anorexia saying she’s “not convinced [my mom] ever overcame her disordered eating.”

She then talks about being cast on iCarly alongside Miranda Cosgrove when she barely ate.

“I became even more fixated on food and my body. I monitored every bite I took,” Jennette writes. “I exercised obsessively. I measured my thighs with a measuring tape every night before bed.”

Jennette‘s mom was then diagnosed with cancer for the second time, which began her “binge eating phase.”

“I still tracked, calculated and obsessed about every single thing that went into my mouth, just the same as when I had anorexia. The only difference was that I was eating a lot more,” Jennette continues. “I was constantly preoccupied with food. Nothing meant more to me than my next bite and nothing gave me more shame than my last one. I was in a toxic, self-loathing cycle.”

Eventually Jennete‘s sister-in-law confronted her about her fluctuating weight – which began her recovery process.

“Recovery was brutal. It felt like breaking up with a bad boyfriend whom I loved even though I knew I shouldn’t,” Jennette adds. “He treated me poorly, he ruined my life, he consistently devastated me, and yet, without him, who was I really?”

Jennette admits she’s had slip-ups, but is focused on on staying on the healthy track.

“Anytime I’ve had a slip, I’ve gotten back on my program. It’s been two years and I’m doing well, recovering and moving forward. I still get eating disorder urges, compulsions and occasional fantasies. I still hear that old eating disorder voice, but luckily I hear it less and less often,” Jennette concludes. “And when I do hear it, I now have the tools to muffle it.”
