Recovery Road's Jessica Sula Talks Her Connection With Co-Star Sebastian de Souza

Recovery Road's Jessica Sula Talks Her Connection With Co-Star Sebastian de Souza

Jessica Sula takes a lovely walk in the park for NKD mag’s February 2016 issue.

In the glossy, the 21-year-old actress chats about reuniting with Sebastian de Souza for Freeform’s Recovery Road.

“That was really lovely. With Sebbie, when we were in Skins, I really didn’t get to know him very well…I actually think that was really good because we had all of this common ground. We had been through this show together. So when we met up we could talk about, ‘How did you feel about this,’ which was lovely. We got to know each other even more,” she shared.

Jessica added, “I love that boy. It’s nice to have somebody [in L.A.] from home who gets what you’ve been through and gets your sense of humor. He doesn’t take things too seriously, and you can’t take things too seriously.”

Speaking of her character Maddie, Jessica admits she’s “a very dry sense of humored little madam. You see a transition of her using humor…it’s a great way to deflect from certain issues going on. She has a great sense of humor, she’s got a lot of love, but she’s extremely against the idea that she’s an addict.”

Katherine McNamara & Emeraude Toubia Bring 'Shadowhunters' To The Press at TCA Winter Tour

Katherine McNamara & Emeraude Toubia Bring 'Shadowhunters' To The Press at TCA Winter Tour

Katherine McNamara and Emeraude Toubia glam up the Shadowhunters panel during the 2016 Television Critics Association Winter Tour held at Langham Hotel on Saturday afternoon (January 9) in Pasadena, Calif.

The two actresses were joined by co-stars Alberto Rosende, Dominic Sherwood, Matthew Daddario, Harry Shum, Jr., and Isaiah Mustafa, plus executive producer/director McG and showrunner Ed Decter.

“It’s a very simple reason: You can’t tell a saga from the point of view of just one person,” Ed shared on the panel. :You have to tell all the pieces of the saga and so all these great shows that we so admire like Game of Thrones and all that, you have many places to go with the story so that you can tell all the strands of the saga. Its actually a pretty complex world, Mortal Instruments, which makes it so rich and which is why we’re so excited about it.”

Recovery Road‘s Alexis Carra, Sharon Leal, Jessica Sula, Sebastian de Souza, Daniel Franzese, Kyla Pratt and David Witts, along with executive producers Bert V. Royal and Karen DiConcetto also chatted about their new series as well.

FYI: Katherine is wearing a Self-Portrait jumpsuit and Christian Louboutin shoes.
