American Wrestler is the true story of a teenage boy in the 1980s who escapes unrest in Iran and moves to America. Determined to fit in despite intense bullying because of his heritage, he joins his school’s floundering wrestling team.
“The premiere for American Wrestler is tomorrow! I’m so excited, I hope to see u there!” Lia wrote on her Twitter before the film’s debut.
