The girls of Bunheads pose with guest star Jeanine Mason in this new still from tonight’s episode.
In “Channing Tatum is a Fine Actor,” Michelle (Sutton Foster) tries to help Truly (Stacey Oristano) renegotiate her lease after she is evicted from her shop. Boo (Kaitlyn Jenkins) asks for Michelle’s advice when Carl insists that she meet his parents.
Meanwhile, Michelle is skeptical when Talia sets her up on a blind date with her older boyfriend’s friend, and the girls are intrigued by the multi-talented, new kids in town (Mason, Niko Pepaj).

“I had four very specific kinds of girls in mind. That makes casting hard,” Ms. Sherman-Palladino said of casting. “Boo had to be very specific, Sasha had to be specific. On pointe. That knocks out 50 or 60 percent of the people. When you go through the network process usually they like to bring in three or four choices to choose from. … These four girls were the four girls.”
FYI: Sutton wore a Philip Armstrong dress with Blue Candy jewelry; Bailey dolled up in a Nha Khnah skirt and top with Rebecca Minkoff shoes and Emma wore a Contrarian dress with Shoemint shoes.
In the winter premiere “Channing Tatum is a Fine Actor,” it’s been several months since the Nutcracker fiasco, where Michelle (Foster) accidentally maced the young performers of Paradise Dance Academy. Now she’s crashing on her friend’s couch and working as a dancer for a small-time magician in Henderson, NV.
Meanwhile in Paradise, the dance studio is closed down, leaving the students to keep busy on their own. Ginny (Bailey Buntain) has taken over her mother’s real estate business; Melanie (Emma Dumont) has been caring for her grandpa, and Boo (Kaitlyn Jenkins) is pulling her hair out taking care of her little brother while her pregnant mother is on bed rest. After a summer at Joffrey, Sasha (Telles) returns but refuses to head back home, instead hiding out with friends.

The cast of Bunheads snack on some candy canes during ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas Winter Wonderland event held at Rockefeller Center in New York City on Sunday afternoon (December 2).
“We take our skating very seriously. We brought only our finest moves to Rockefeller Center. I was only made fun of once. #25DaysofChristmas #ABCFamily,” Julia tweeted during the event.
FYI: Bailey wore a BCBG ensemble, Emma wore a Janey Lopaty vintage dress and Kaitlyn dolled up in a dress by Aqua.
“The first ten episodes set up the story and made people kind fall in love with the characters. The next eight are going to be really fun, and we reveal cliffhangers!” Julia recently told Teen Vogue mag.
Psst, did you know that Emma is still working on her dancing career? “Going to audition for @JoffreySchool for the 3rd yr and hopefully going to Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow next summer! #Bunheads #nervous” she tweeted earlier this week.
In the season finale, “A Nutcracker in Paradise,” Michelle (Sutton Foster) and Fanny (Kelly Bishop) begin to grow closer and enjoy each other’s creative input as they prepare for Fanny’s annual production of The Nutcracker. Michelle is organizing the fundraiser, advising the girls on their boy drama and feeling more at home than ever before. But their newfound harmony is soon disrupted by honest mistakes.
Meanwhile, Boo (Kaitlyn Jenkins) decides to make a move on the guy she likes.
