The Originals' Charles Michael Davis Could Be Playing Piano More on Final Season of the Show

The Originals' Charles Michael Davis Could Be Playing Piano More on Final Season of the Show

Many fans of The Originals know this, but Charles Michael Davis is an insanely amazing piano player.

Over the weekend, showrunner Julie Plec revealed to a fan who asked that his character, Marcel, just hasn’t had a good piano moment on the show in a while for good reason.

“Funny thing about Charles, he started taking lessons in Season 1 and I thought he was terrible!” she admitted. “So it never occurred to me to write in any piano scenes.”

But we think he changed her mind during their last Comic-Con: “He sat down in the hotel lobby and played and he was great. The lessons took!”

Writer Carina Adly MacKenzie also admits that she loves to hear Charles play too and has the perfect idea on how they can write it in.

“When I have downtime on set I always go sit in Charles’ dressing room. He plays piano, I sit on the couch, we don’t talk. I leave with all of my anxiety cured,” she tweeted. “He’s a magician. Marcel can play – Elijah taught him – we’ve just never seen it.”

Here’s hoping we see Charles play on the final season!

'The Originals' Will Feature Caroline 'Several Times' During the Final Season!

'The Originals' Will Feature Caroline 'Several Times' During the Final Season!

We may be seeing more of Caroline in the final season of The Originals than we thought!

Executive producer Julie Plec just confirmed that Caroline will be featured over the course of the season, as opposed to just the first two episodes.

“We’ll see Caroline several times over the season,” Julie wrote on her Twitter.

Julie also added that Caroline will spill about her relationship with Klaus during her appearances.

She added, “They actually have some really interesting convos about their past dynamic and attraction. Seeing it through the prism of Hope’s crush on the ‘bad boy.’ Caroline talks about what drew her to him when she was a teenager.”

We can’t wait for the show to premiere next Spring!

The Originals
and Vampire Diaries showrunner will be heading to the fellow CW show to direct an episode this coming season, she confirms on Twitter.

“And by the way, congrats to #Riverdale for dominating the TV awards,” Julie wrote on Twitter, referencing all their Teen Choice Award wins. “I’ll be there directing an episode for them this fall. Very psyched.”

The cast spoke about what’s ahead on the show to ET last night, too.

“Like, everything’s taken to the next level,” Camila Mendes shared. “It really feels like level one was season one, and level two is season two, and the story lines are great.”

She adds, “The relationships are being more fully fleshed out. It’s great.”

The Originals just debuted the first trailer for the show’s final season and we can hardly wait until its premiere next year!

To top things off, showrunner Julie Plec is teasing some upcoming drama between Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Caroline (Candice King) in the new season.

“She’s just got so much life in her. She just brings the spirits up of people around her. There’s just something great about watching Caroline call Klaus on his s**t,” Julie told EW during Comic-Con.

In season five, Klaroline is said to be running the Salvatore Boarding School for the Young & Gifted.

This Is Why Stelena Didn't End Up Together on 'The Vampire Diaries'

This Is Why Stelena Didn't End Up Together on 'The Vampire Diaries'

Stelena fans, you may want to read this.

The Vampire Diaries executive producers Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson both confirmed that had Nina Dobrev not left the show in season six, Stefan and Elena probably would have found heir way back together romantically.

“I wanted to see if there was a way to bring Stefan and Elena back together one more time,” Julie told TheWrap.com. “But Nina left the show and that sealed Delena in for life.”

Kevin told Deadline, “I always thought it would be Stefan and Elena. They were sort of the anchor of the show, but because we lost Elena in Season 6, we couldn’t go back. You know Nina could only come back for one episode maybe if she had came back for the whole season, we could even have warped back towards that, but you can’t just do it in 42 minutes.”

TELL JJJ: Do you wish you would have seen Stelena reunite?

In case you missed it, the Delena proposal was cut from the series finale.

'The Vampire Diaries' Finale - This Is How It Was Originally Supposed To End!

'The Vampire Diaries' Finale - This Is How It Was Originally Supposed To End!

The Vampire Diaries wrapped up the series into a pretty (bloody) bow this past weekend during the finale.

But that’s not actually how things were supposed to end. Back in season two, executive producers Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson had a different ending in mind.

Instead of – SPOILER ALERT! – Stefan (Paul Wesley) dying, both Salvatore brothers were originally going to die for Elena (Nina Dobrev).

“We had fallen in love with this series and this story about two brothers who loved the same girl and the love triangle was kicking into high gear, we said to ourselves: When all is said and done, when this show is over, both brothers should die in the name of saving their girl and then be watching her like ghosts,” Julie told EW.com. “Because we had introduced the Other Side – as she went off into the sunset to live her life and maybe marry Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig) or maybe become a doctor, but that those brothers would be side-by-side watching her live. That was the thing that made us cry all the tears in season 2.”

That’s right, Elena was going to end up with – Matt! But things changed once Nina left the show at the end of season six.

“I felt like we had to make a commitment to seeing Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena through to the end,” Julie explained. “If Nina had never left, I would’ve loved to have been able to see if Stefan and Elena could’ve found their way back to each other. I don’t know if they could have, but had that departure not been a part of it, the long game would’ve been to see if we could bring the love triangle back around before the series ended and really leave a choice. But her departure sealed the romantic contract between Damon and Elena. In that moment, to me, the show ceased to be about a love triangle and became a show about the power of these brothers and their love for each other. And so there was no way in hell I was killing both of them and leaving neither of them with the happy ending. It just was never going to happen.”

So Stelena may have found their way back to each other…interesting!

Klaroline Might Appear on 'The Originals'

Klaroline Might Appear on 'The Originals'

Our favorite The Vampire Diaries couple Klaus and Caroline might appear together another series!

Following the series finale of TVD, executive producer Julie Plec dropped some hints about future episodes of The Originals and another potential spinoff!

“Obviously our timelines did not match up, so Caroline and Klaus are not coming face to face in this season,” Julie told THR.

She added, “That being said, we do have crossover elements in the upcoming season of The Originals that’s about to start airing and it all brings it back to what I see as a future for either The Originals or another piece of the franchise to launch off of the end of The Originals. So I look forward to being able to play around in that sandbox and see if I can make something of it.”

We sure hope we get to see more of Klaus and Caroline in the future!
