James Franco shows off his mustache while hitting the red carpet at the screening of his latest film King Cobra held during the 2016 Outfest at Director’s Guild of America on Saturday (July 16) in West Hollywood, Calif.
The 38-year-old actor was joined by his co-stars Keegan Allen and his model girlfriend Ali Collier, Alicia Silverstone, Garrett Clayton, and director-writer Justin Kelly.
At the event, Gus Van Sant presented James with the James Schamus Ally Award, created to honor the efforts of an individual in bringing LGBTQ stories to the forefront.
“I am thrilled to have my name linked with such a Hollywood legend and someone who shepherded all kinds of stories,” James expressed (via Variety). “Nothing was beyond the pale for Schamus � he saw value and entertainment in it all. His work on ‘Wedding Banquet’ to ‘Brokeback Mountain’ to ‘Milk’ changed the landscape for queer cinema and I only hope to make such an impression.”

Karis on Dylan: “Dylan very much wants to be her own person but loses a piece of her when her father goes missing. It’s [the hospital] the last place she wants to be. All she wants to do is serve her hours and solve the mystery.”
Justin on Wes: “His mouth gets him into trouble. He says the wrong thing at the wrong time and has to reel back from that. I love that the combination throws you off, but in an inspiring way.”
Cristine on the show: “You’re solving a mystery as the show goes on. It’s definitely a roller coaster of emotions.”
Meet the cast of TeenNick’s new series, Open Heart!
The new show centers on 16-year-old Dylan Blake (Karis Cameron), who falls in with the wrong crowd, gets arrested, and earns court-ordered community service volunteering at Open Heart Memorial, the hospital where her mother and sister are doctors and where her grandparents are board members and benefactors.�
All Dylan has to do is follow the rules. The hospital is the last place her father was seen alive and while most people think it’s a straightforward case of abandonment, Dylan doesn’t believe that and sets out to prove something bad happened to her father. Putting her old delinquent skills back into service, Dylan and her new friends–the bright and gossipy Mikayla (Cristine Prosperi) and the handsome charmer Wes (Justin Kelly)�start looking into her dad’s disappearance, unearthing a trail of clues that lead them to some very unexpected places.
