In the winter premiere “Channing Tatum is a Fine Actor,” it’s been several months since the Nutcracker fiasco, where Michelle (Foster) accidentally maced the young performers of Paradise Dance Academy. Now she’s crashing on her friend’s couch and working as a dancer for a small-time magician in Henderson, NV.
Meanwhile in Paradise, the dance studio is closed down, leaving the students to keep busy on their own. Ginny (Bailey Buntain) has taken over her mother’s real estate business; Melanie (Emma Dumont) has been caring for her grandpa, and Boo (Kaitlyn Jenkins) is pulling her hair out taking care of her little brother while her pregnant mother is on bed rest. After a summer at Joffrey, Sasha (Telles) returns but refuses to head back home, instead hiding out with friends.

The cast of Bunheads snack on some candy canes during ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas Winter Wonderland event held at Rockefeller Center in New York City on Sunday afternoon (December 2).
Bailey Buntain, Julia Goldani Telles, Kaitlyn Jenkins and Emma Dumont joined their ABC Family channel mates for some ice skating at the annual event.
“We take our skating very seriously. We brought only our finest moves to Rockefeller Center. I was only made fun of once. #25DaysofChristmas #ABCFamily,” Julia tweeted during the event.
FYI: Bailey wore a BCBG ensemble, Emma wore a Janey Lopaty vintage dress and Kaitlyn dolled up in a dress by Aqua.

The young cast of Bunheads arrives at the 2012 Hollywood Christmas Parade on Sunday evening (November 25) in Hollywood.
The actresses — Julia Goldani Telles, Emma Dumont, Kaitlyn Jenkins, and Bailey Buntain — dolled up in their best holiday wear for the annual event, benefiting Toys for Tots.

“And then there was a cheetah on the red carpet,” Julia tweeted along with a pic of the animal.
The 2012 Hollywood Christmas Parade will air on December 10 at 6PM ET/PT on Hallmark Channel.

Emma Dumont and Aimee Teegarden hit the red carpet at the Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party on Thursday night (September 27) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The 17-year-old Bunheads actress was also joined by co-star Kaitlyn Jenkins.
According to TVLine, the ABC Family show will be adding two new ballet dancers — a brother sister duo — to the cast.
Maggie is described as a bright, quirky 15- to 17-year-old who has an “indie Winona Ryder” vibe about her. Jack is around the same age and also is an individualist; both characters do their own thing and spend a lot of time in each other’s company.
The characters would recur on the show, which returns in January 2013.
