“The true story goes behind the scenes of the hoax of JT LeRoy, a woman who pretended to be a man who identifies as transgender, tricking the rich and famous in Hollywood, the fashion world and elite literary circles,” THR reports.

The 25-year-old told Vanity Fair recently that her latest movie, Personal Shopper, is a ghost story that had her feeling “close to death.”
Kristen said Olivier Assayas, the director, pushed her to ask life’s tough questions during the shoot.
“[She] sort of gave me this opportunity for a short period of time to contemplate infinity in a really disarming and scary way, that’s like little questions that you ignore when you lay your head down on your pillow at night,” Kristen said. “Like, ‘I’m alone, who am I?’ All those things, they plague her.”
The 25-year-old actress, who attended the festival for the premiere of her movie Certain Women, recently gave her take on gender inequality in Hollywood.
“It sounds weird for me to sit around and say, ‘It’s not fair.’ Guys make more money because their movies make more money. Let’s start making more movies … it makes sense,” Kristen told Variety. “I came from a family – my mom’s an artist, she’s a painter, she’s a script supervisor as well. When she wasn’t working, she was making something. She was never bored. Instead of sitting around complaining about that, do something.”

Kristen chatted with E! News at the festival and revealed she can’t wait to direct her first movie.
“Hopefully as soon as humanly possible,” Kristen said when asked when it would happen. “I really want to. I have to find the right thing. I started working when I was nine. I love this industry. I love what movies can do so I’ll find my story.”
