Landry Bender reminisced about Best Friends Whenever and it hit us right in the feels!
The 17-year-old actress talked to NKD mag about the show ending and looking forward to her future.
“It was sad at first. Anytime you invest yourself in something it’s hard to let that go, but I’m still very, very close with the cast,” she said about the show’s cancellation. “I’ve never had a boyfriend, but it’s sort of like a breakup.”
Besides being an actress, Landry is really looking forward to continuing her education.
“I just had a meeting with my guidance counselor about this, right before I came to New York,” Landry said. “Education is something that’s very important to me, and just because I’m an actor I don’t want to not go to college. That’s what a lot of child actors do and I don’t want to go down that route.”
She also wants to get more into the production side of the business. “The fact that I do get to be on sets and observe everyone is something that’s very cool,” she said. “I get to be a fly on the wall sometimes and watch directors and producers.

Most of us know Landry Bender either from Best Friends Whenever or from The Sitter, but did you know she’s also one of the voices on The Lion Guard?
“The most challenging part is probably the random noises that you have to do,” she told Vulkan magazine about her role as Rafiki’s apprentice.
Landry adds, “I know it sounds funny, but when my character has to run really fast, or climb a wall, or jump up and down, I have to give them the strangest noises and it feels ridiculous.”
Speaking of animated series based off movies, Landry opened up our eyes to one that we would watch all the time — Monsters, Inc.!
“I’ve always loved Monster’s Inc. I still have my ‘Boo’ doll I got for my second birthday!” she recalls. “I know it’s probably considered Pixar, but I’ve always loved it so I’d love for a series to be created from that film.”
Consider us already addicted to it.
