The 17-year-old Austin & Ally actress opened up to the glossy about fashion, the stage and set. Check it:
On her Broadway dreams: “I love Broadway musicals so much! I would be happy to a part of a number of different productions: Wicked, Aida, Next to Normal. I also would love to be a part of any Broadway plays! I’m a big Tennessee Williams fan — he is an amazing playwright.”
On embarrassing moments on set: “Oh goodness, if I had a dollar for every embarrassing moment that has happened to me on set, I would never have to work again. I honestly don’t thinking I am that clumsy of a person, but whenever I am son set, I become a complete klutz! I have tripped on set, flipped over in chairs, ran into doors and fallen down stairs. It’s actually getting ridiculous.”
On style: “I love Jessie J‘s style! I went to London earlier this year and I was absolutely obsessed with the fashion there. Those Brits really know how to experiment with their style, which I totally love. I really like the idea of mixing vintage clothes with designer clothes, which I really saw, a lot of in London. I decided that I’m going to become Brits. Yes, I know that might not be ‘possible’ but a girl can try, can’t she?”
In this weekend’s episode “Tracks & Troubles,” Jimmy (Richard Whiten) signs his daughter, Kira (Kiersey Clemons), as the newest recording artist to his label. When Kira has her first performance, she wants to sing one of Ally’s (Marano) songs, but Ally wants to sing it herself.
Meanwhile, Austin (Ross Lynch) accidentally records over one of Kira’s demos for her new album, and Jimmy thinks Austin and Ally are trying to sabotage Kira’s career.
“To help gear up for this episode, I went over my song every day. I continually go to voice lessons, but I really worked my voice to make sure it sounded the best it could sound in the recording session,” Laura exclusively told us about her preparation.
“Tracks & Troubles” airs Sunday, June 23rd @ 8:30PM ET/PT on Disney Channel. 20+ pics inside…
“It’s pretty rough [at] the beginning of the season… but Ty [Blair Redford] returns, and he was like a brother figure to Daphne [Katie Leclerc],” Vanessa shared. “So though they’re in a really tough place, he’s come back from war and he’s in a really bad place. There’s only one person that Bay can really lean on to help her out in that situation when it comes to a boy.
FYI: Vanessa wore a Nikki Rich dress, Jimmy Choo heels with Kara Ackerman, Danielle Stevens and Elephant Heart jewelry. Laura wore a Bebe dress, Chinese Laundry heels, Haute Betts bracelets and Nissa rings.
