Lauren Donzis just booked a brand new role!
The 15-year-old actress, who you might recognize from No Good Nick or Liv and Maddie, will be starring in NBC’s Punky Brewster, which will air on Peacock, the streaming service.
According to Deadline, Lauren is set to play Hannah, Punky’s fashion-forward teenage daughter, who often feels like she’s the parent and Punky’s the kid.
The upcoming series is a continuation from the 1980s series about a bright young girl raised by a foster dad, Punky (Soleil Moon Frye) is now a single mother of three trying to get her life back on track when she meets Izzy (Quinn Copeland), a young girl who reminds her a lot of her younger self.
Oliver De Los Santos and Noah Cottrell will also star in the series as Punky’s adopted sons, Daniel and Diego.
The cast of No Good Nick are opening to fans about the cancellation of the Netflix series.
Siena Agudong, Kalama Epstein and Lauren Donzis all posted short messages on Instagram after hearing that the show would not be coming back for a second season.
“My heart is broken, but at the same time, fulfilled knowing how many people loved no good nick. i will always cherish the memories,” Lauren shared on her feed.
Kalama added, “I could never adequately put my gratitude into words. To everybody who worked on this: thank you for creating the kindest set I’ve had the chance to work. To everyone who watched: thank you for giving this show so much love. We love this show so much. We love the Thompson’s, the Franzelli’s, The Todd’s, The… well every single character that orbits their crazy lives. We love this story. Thank you for loving it too❤️”
Siena, who played title character Nick, shared a short message with the fans.
