The two singers will join AJ Gibson, Jaymes Vaughan, Raja Kumari and Nick Viall on the red carpet for the official pre-show, presented by Security Benefit, at the 2019 American Music Awards this weekend,
The two-hour pre-show will stream LIVE from Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 24th @ 6PM ET/ 3PM PT on the official American Music Awards Twitter account.
“So I’ll be doing my first hosting gig this weekend👀 SO EXCITED to be co-hosting,” Lauren posted excitedly on her Instagram.

The 23-year-old singer posed for pics on the red carpet, alongside musician Sebastian Yatra, before heading inside for the show.
While on the red carpet, Lauren stopped to chat with ET and opened up about her debut album that she’s still working on.
“The record is coming along incredibly,” she shared. “I’ve super, super, just kinda been diving into this creative process and really finding out who I am and really working through that. And of course, part of my identity is being Latina from Miami and I grew up speaking Spanglish in my home and Spanish in my home. So naturally the songwriting process, se involucró.”
Lauren added, “I’m anxious to share some of my stuff because I’m just so excited about what I’m making and so ready to share it with the world, but at the same time, I enjoy the process. I’m enjoy taking my time and it’s so representative of me and that each word and each melody and each sound is exactly what it needs to be.”

The Amazon rainforest is burning at a record rate in Brazil, CNN reports.
There has been an 80% increase in fires in the Amazon, which is a huge contributor in creating oxygen for the Earth’s atmosphere, and is considered vital in stopping global warming.
“this is heartbreaking and terrifying 💔💔💔 This makes me want to cry with frustration. what are we DOING? We’re literally destroying our miracle of a home 😭😭😭 I’m so sorry, earth 💔💔💔,” Camila shared with a repost on Instagram.
“Although I’ll admit prayer helps me breathe most days, It can’t quite do the same job the Amazon in Brazil does for the human populace (not to mention all the life forms on this planet that also need oxygen to survive.) The Amazon has been burning for the past almost 3 weeks with little to no media coverage. The Amazon is responsible for 20% of our oxygen. Gaia is screaming. We are truly so disrespectful to our children, and our grandchildren, and their children. Awareness is one thing but I truly wanna know when we’re all going to wake up and feel the poison in our lungs,” Laurenwrote in a lengthy post.

The 23-year-old former Fifth Harmony singer took to Instagram on Thursday (July 18) to share an inspiring story about her journey to learning to love her smile.
“At some point I stopped smiling in pictures,” she wrote. “When I was 16 and started this journey I was on a carpet once and I remember hating the way I looked when I smiled. I was a novice to that being in front of a camera thing and realized quickly my genuine smile gave me a double chin sometimes, and my eyes squinted up, and sometimes my gums showed too much and I would notice that one tooth that I lost when I was 14 instead of when I was little and grew in a little weird.”
This weekend, Lauren revealed, that finally started to change.
“Over this weekend I was asked so many times to smile, and not in the condescending way that men who want my attention do it, but a genuine love for my expression when I was happy,” she continued. “Which I am now more than I can fathom. I was told how beautiful my smile is, and for the first time I think I believed it. Because my smile means something again. And it reaches my eyes. And I don’t care if I look a little weird in some of the pictures that capture it anymore because I don’t look at my tagged photos as much and sometimes I look like this, which is worth a bad pic or two. Anyway. Idk why I’m writing this, but if your smile isn’t reaching your eyes, find the thing that brings it back to your face. Make that thing be you. Make yourself fall in love with your smile again because it’s a reflection of your soul, in this very moment. Blissfully present. And it’s powerful.”
The 23-year-old former Fifth Harmony singer performed at Pride Fest on Sunday (June 30) in New York City.
Lauren took the stage at the LGBTQ+ event to sing a couple of her hits and surprised fans with a new song, as well.
So far, Lauren hasn’t announced the name of the new song or any details about plans to release a studio version of the track, but you can hear it in footage from Pride Fest.
Lauren wore a strappy, black leather ensemble, complete with knee-high black leather boots, for the performance. She covered up in a full-length, lime green coat for part of the performance.
