The movie is also a family affair: Zoey and Madelyn‘s mom Lea Thompson, also co-stars in the movie, and father Howard Deutch is a co-producer. Zoey is also a co-producer, Lea directed, and Madelyn wrote the movie. And Madelyn also provides the music, too!
The movie, which hits theaters on June 15, is the story of Izzy Klein, a young woman fresh out of college who strikes up and ruins relationships with several men, and struggles to navigate the failures of post-college adulthood, leaning on her mother and older sister for support.

Lea also serves as director and producer, and Madelyn not only makes her screenwriting debut, but she also scored the movie as well!

The young stars were joined by Austin Stowell and Analeigh Tipton as they were all honored at the first annual Rising Star Showcase. The group also attended a Q&A that day as well.

Zoey Deutch wishes that she was able to grow up with a superhero movie like Wonder Woman!
The 22-year-old actress and outspoken feminist opened up about her love of Gal Gadot‘s new film. “If I had a superhero movie like that when I was a kid, I would have walked down the street and thought, ‘I can do anything!,’” she told THR.
