Danielle Rose Russell Leads Gifted Students in 'Legacies' First Official Poster

Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) conjures up some magic in the official poster for Legacies.

The poster also includes Matthew Davis, Jenny Boyd, Kaylee Bryant, Quincy Fouse, Peyton Alex Smith and Aria Shahghasemi.

Showrunner Julie Plec opened up to EW about the bond between Hope and headmaster Alaric (Davis).

“Alaric and Hope get along because he gets her,” she says. “He understands that feeling that you’re cursed. And they both throw themselves into everything else that they possibly can to avoid intimate and committed emotional relationships.”

Kaylee Bryant & Jenny Boyd Talk Playing The Saltzman Twins on 'Legacies'

Kaylee Bryant & Jenny Boyd Talk Playing The Saltzman Twins on 'Legacies'

Kaylee Bryant and Jenny Boyd will be making their debut as Josie and Lizzie Saltzman on Legacies next week and opened up to EW about the twin characters, and how they couldn’t be more different from each other.

“Lizzie is very vulnerable, and I think she is quite insecure on the inside,” Jenny says of her character. “Josie is a caretaker. She’s a little more softly spoken, and Lizzie’s the headstrong sister.”

Kaylee adds, “Josie’s kind of the lesser half of the Saltzman twins. Lizzie takes up a lot of space and can make a mess out of anything, and Josie is very quick to clean up those messes and be the one to make sure that Alaric and her are as set up as they can be, even if it kind of hinders her own life sometimes.”

Showrunner Julie Plec also talked about the twins in the new series: “They’re these beautiful, deeply flawed, and wonderful young women. Lizzie Saltzman so desperately wants to be loved and adored, and I think that’s born out of feeling a little bit like her dad has this special surrogate daughter relationship with Hope.”

So, be prepared for some drama with Lizzie and Hope in the new show.

“To quote her, she thinks Hope is ‘stuck up,’” Julie adds. “Hope doesn’t make any effort to be friends with anybody. So she loves to go out of her way to poke at Hope and to make comments about her, just all born out of a place of utter, delicate jealousy.”

Legacies debuts on Thursday, October 25th on The CW.

Nathaniel Buzolic Would 'Jump at the Chance' To Reprise Kol Mikaelson on 'Legacies'

The Legacies premiere is getting closer and closer and there’s one Mikaelson who won’t be on anytime soon…

Nathaniel Buzolic, who played Kol Mikaelson on The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, recently opened up about his character coming back to Mystic Falls.

“There could be a possibility, but I haven’t been asked yet,” he told Australian site The Music. “I mean, I think what they’re trying to do is probably create this world with Legacies first. I think it’s really important that they establish new characters. So I would absolutely jump at the chance to come back and play Kol again. But it hasn’t been a conversation that’s taken place yet.”

Matt Davis Says Alaric Saltzman Is Similar to Dumbledore on 'Legacies'

Matt Davis Says Alaric Saltzman Is Similar to Dumbledore on 'Legacies'

Matt Davis is dishing on Alaric’s role as headmaster in Legacies.

While attending New York Comic-Con last weekend, the 40-year-old actor opened up a little more about what to expect his for his character’s new role.

“He’s taking on a new set of responsibilities. He genuinely is coming from a place of love,” he said, via TV Guide. “He’s somewhere between Professor X and Dumbledore.”

EP Julie Plec also dished that even though Sheriff Donovan and Alaric work together, Donovan isn’t afraid to put his foot down. “It puts him and Alaric in a good place for some tension,” she said.
