In next week’s episode “Monstrous Ball,” After Eleanor (Margaret Colin) gives Blair (Meester) an ultimatum, Blair is even more determined to remedy Waldorf Designs’ problems by making a splash with a dress at the upcoming Cotillion, but a shocking revelation at the ball affects everyone.

Serena (Blake Lively) becomes worried about Steven’s (Barry Watson) attitude toward her, but after some investigating she discovers the surprising reason why.

Meanwhile, Dan (Penn Badgley) publishes another article, but the effect is just the opposite of what he was hoping for.

Leighton Meester shows off her new shorter locks at the Flaunt Magazine dinner party celebrating her new cover at Ink restaurant on Thursday (October 25) in West Hollywood, Calif.

“Yes! I chopped off my hair after Gossip Girl wrapped,” the 26-year-old actress exclusively told JustJaredJr.com. “My long, wavy hair got a lot of mileage, so it was time for a change. The girl who did my hair on the show [Lizzie Reilly] chopped it off and I love it. I hop out of the shower and it takes five minutes to dry!”

During the cocktail hour, waiters served hors d’oeuvres atop serving platters featuring Leighton‘s Flaunt cover.

“You’re serving food on my face!” Leighton laughed, after grabbing a bite to eat.

One of the pics even shows Penn Badgley, Michelle Trachtenberg, and Chace Crawford having a cake fight while celebrating the end of their series. Sounds fun!

Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Ed Westwick, and recurring guest star Sebastian Stan also joined in on the festivities.

At the party, Leighton and Penn both showed off new hairdos.

Blake Lively and Ed Westwick head to the Gossip Girl set to start filming some of their final scenes in New York City on Tuesday afternoon (October 16).

The two were joined by co-stars Leighton Meester, Michelle Trachtenberg, Chace Crawford, Penn Badgley and Taylor Momsen.

According to TVLine, another “core couple” is headed for reconciliation.

“I don’t have any info about a Vespa, but I can report that producers are planning a callback to the Season 2 episode ‘The Dark Night’ and will once again trap Dan (Badgley) and Serena (Lively) together in an elevator,” the site reports.

In “Portrait of a Lady Alexander,” Chuck’s (Ed Westwick) continued investigation into his father’s dealings leads him to an unlikely event with Manhattan’s elite, where he hopes to find the one person who can tell him the truth about Bart (Robert John Burke).

Serena (Blake Lively) and Steven (Barry Watson) decide to reveal their romantic histories so they aren’t surprised by anything, but neither was prepared for what they uncovered. With “The Spectator” in jeopardy after Dan (Penn Badgley) decided to publish elsewhere, Nate (Crawford) must make a difficult decision to keep it in business.

Meanwhile, Georgina (Michelle Trachtenberg) pushes Dan to choose a worthy person to date to boost his image, but he finds himself drawn in a different direction.
