Leighton Meester wears some comfy flip flops while on the set of Gossip Girl on Friday afternoon (August 17) in New York City’s Upper East Side.
The 26-year-old actress traded in her rust colored dress for a laid back look while filming with co-stars Ed Westwick, Chace Crawford, and Kelly Rutherford for the sixth and final season of the hit CW show.

The two stars were spotted walking around the neighborhood, and switching up their wardrobes, with Blake Lively and Kelly Rutherford.
“It’s bittersweet,” Leighton recently told EOnline about the ending of the hit CW show.
She added, “But at the same time, it’s great to move on and do something different. Playing the same character for six years is great, but it’s exciting to do other things and also just sleeping and spending time with my family.”

The two were joined by costar Blake Lively, as they were back to work on the final season of the CW drama.
Via TVLine, Gossip Girl‘s final season will only have 10 episodes with a possible big send-off.
“I’m a big believer in retrospectives and a big believer in allowing the audience to say farewell to their shows,” the network boss, Mark Pedowitz, said. “It’s important for us on this side of the fence to give a satisfactory ending.”

Leighton Meester is the lady in red as she attends the Salvatore Ferragamo Cruise Collection 2013 Show held at Galerie Denon on Tuesday (June 12) in Paris, France.
The 26-year-old actress dolled up in head to toe Ferragamo as she sat front row.
The show made French history as the first presentation to host a catwalk show at the famed Louvre Museum. It was made possible by the fashion house’s sponsorship of the Louvre’s current exhibition of “The Virgin and Saint Anne,” the last painting by Leonardo da Vinci.

On how her Gossip Girl character, Blair Waldorf, has changed her style: My friend says that before the show I dressed like a homeless person. I used to buy everything at garage sales. It was hard to give up! I’d be like, ‘But this crazy sweater is amazing, and it only cost 25 cents!’ I’ve learned from Blair, though. Now I like to pepper in something designer with my usual stuff.”
On falling in love: “I love love. It’s the most intriguing universally understood emotion, and it comes in so many forms: family love, love of friends. I fall in love with everybody all the time.”
On her makeup routine: “I’ve stopped wearing makeup when I’m not working. For a while I thought I had dark circles and bad skin, and then I realized I was seeing myself that way because I didn’t recognize myself anymore without makeup. Now when I wear it, I think I look really weird!”
On envisioning herself getting married: “Yes! Especially now that I know you don’t have to be married to have children; when I was a kid I thought marriage was sex, but if I ever am in a situation where I want to be married, I don’t think I’ll have a big wedding. Hopefully it would be about something way more secure than that.”
