According to Deadline, the 23-year-old actor is is reportedly nearing a deal to star in the upcoming sci-fi conspiracy thriller The Raven.

The movie is based on a short film of the same name set in the near future. Mark Wahlberg will serve as a producer and Ricardo de Montreuil is set to direct. Production is expected to start in June.

Liam Hemsworth will unveil the full-length trailer for the upcoming flick at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, April 14th.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire begins as Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence) has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson). Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire debuts in theaters on November 22nd

Just recently Liam was spotted in the Philippines for a Bench clothing promo appearance where he dished on his shoot with a lion.

“It was great. I got to spend half a day with a lion. He was next to me the whole day and the only thing that the trainer said to me was, ‘Don’t hide from him because he gets uncomfortable when you try to hide from him,’” Liam shared.
