Billie Eilish Is First Artist Born in 2000s to Top Billboard's Hot 100!

Billie Eilish has landed the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and she earned a super cool achievement in the process.

The 17-year-old singer, who was born in December 2001, is the first artist to be born in the 2000s and earn a number one single on the Hot 100. Lil Nas X was the previous most-recent born artist to go number one as he was born in April 1999.

Billie‘s song “Bad Guy” is number one after spending the past nine weeks at number two. Lil Nas X‘s song “Old Town Road” is now at number three on the Hot 100 and Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello‘s collaboration “Senorita” has moved up to number two.

Rounding at the top five this week are Lizzo‘s “Truth Hurts” at number four and Khalid‘s “Talk” at number five.

Ariana Grande‘s new song “Boyfriend” with Social House has debuted within the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.

The new song launched on the chart at number eight and wasn’t enough to dethrone Lil Nas X‘s song “Old Town Road” from the top spot.

“Old Town Road” has now been at number one for 19 weeks and continues extending its record of the longest running song at the top of the chart.

Billie Eilish‘s “Bad Guy” is at number two for a ninth week and it’s one week away from tying the record for most weeks peaking at number two.

This time, Lil Nas X teamed up with BTS member RM for a remix they called “Seoul Town Road.”

“I got the homis in my bag (Yeah) / Have you heard of that? (Yeah) / Homis made of steel, from Korea, they the best-t-t,” RM raps, referring to the Korean farming tool, which is also a play on the word “Homie.”

“Riding to the farm (Huh) / Grabbing all the corn (Huh) / We gon’ get yo’ money with my homi in your backyard.”

Kurt Hugo Schneider puts his own spin on Lil Nas X‘s “Old Town Road” with his new video – featuring 100 dogs!

The musician and YouTube star posted the video on YouTube on Saturday (July 27).

“We are celebrating us hitting 12 Million Subscribers with a new video where I remade OLD TOWN ROAD w/ 100 DOGS! 🐶⁠,” Kurt shared on Instagram. “That’s right there will be furry little things in my new video now live!”⁠

“Thank you to all of you out there who have watched and supported all my videos,” he continued. “Wouldn’t be here without you! If you’ve read this far, what is something that makes you happy?”

JoJo Siwa To Headline Buzzfeed's Internet Live Event with Lil Nas X

JoJo Siwa will bring her star power to Buzzfeed’s upcoming Internet Live event, happening next week in New York City.

The 16-year-old influencer and performer will join Lil Nas X, and Jersey Shore Family Vacation stars Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Deena Nicole Cortese and Angelina Pivarnick.

Variety reports that the event is invitation-only and will take place Thursday, July 25, at New York City’s Webster Hall.

While fans aren’t invited and there’s no live stream planned, BuzzFeed will edit the program down to a 20-30 minute video and distribute that across BuzzFeed channels on August 4th, along with breakout clips from the evening.
