“I’m a little more comfortable with the sword,” star Logan Lerman dished to USA Today. “We need it since there are bigger monsters. If you’re going to make a sequel you gotta scale it up a little bit.”
The sequel watches as Percy (Lerman) travels to the mythical land known as Sea of Monsters to retrieve a golden fleece that is essential to saving an ailing magical tree that protects his home, Camp Half-Blood. He departs with his Olympian sidekicks Annabeth Chase (Alexandra Daddario) and satyr Grover (Brandon T. Jackson).
Logan adds, “It’s fun to go back to your old shoes once again and play around, and it’s always fun to have a sword in your hand, especially when you’re doing scenes which involve fighting monsters. I’m still a kid. I love doing that stuff.”
Percy Jackson & The Sea of Monsters opens August 16th!
Writers follows a successful novelist (Greg Kinnear) whose obsession with his ex-wife (Jennifer Connelly) has sent his fractured family into a destructive emotional tailspin.
