With 2017 right around the corner, we’re taking a look at some of the biggest names in entertainment from this past year.
While we all have our favorite actors, actresses, and musicians, it’s the social media stars who came out swinging in 2016.
We stalked their Twitter feeds, laughed through their videos, and watched as they turned their social media accounts into full-blown careers in music, movies, and more.
We caught up with 16 of the biggest social media influencers to talk about what they succeeded and where they want to go from here.

Aidan Alexander and Lauren Elizabeth step out for the 2016 Streamy Awards Nominations Event hosted by GloZell Green held at 41 Ocean Club on Wednesday morning (August 24) in Santa Monica, Calif.
The three social stars were also joined by Chloe Lukasiak, Jordan Doww, Andrea Russett, Brittany Furlan, Chester See, Lohanthony, Vanessa and Veronica Merrell, and more for the event where the nominations were announced for the upcoming award show.

The nominees for two fan-voted awards — Entertainer of the Year and Show of the Year — will be announced in the coming weeks and fans will be able to vote for their favorite finalists in these categories leading up to the live show on October 4th.
The 2016 Streamy Awards will take place on Tuesday, October 4th at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.

Tyler Oakley suits up for the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (August 30) in Los Angeles.
The 26-year-old activist hit up the carpet alongside social stars Nash Grier, Lolanthony and Matthew Espinosa.
“I want to see Miley onstage because she’s just going to be amazing,” Nash dished on the red carpet ahead of the show.
He added, “I’m sure she’s going to go on there and just act like it’s — Miley and whoever — and like there’s not even a crowd or national TV there. That’s why I love her.”
