Louis Ashbourne Serkis pulls a sword from a stone just like the Arthurian legend during the photocall for his new film, The Kid Who Would Be King, in London on Tuesday afternoon (February 5).
In a new interview, Louis opened up about the training he and his co-stars went through for the movie.
“There was like two months of solid horse-riding and sword-fighting practice and getting fit,” Louis shared. “That was really tough. The first time I tried the horse-riding lessons, it was quite hard to get used to, but it was worth it.”
He adds that through the training, he bonded a lot with his on-screen knights – Rhianna, Tom Taylor, and Dean Chaumoo.
“We’ve become such close friends that we’re going to be mates for life,” he said. “I’m really grateful that we had this opportunity together.”
Rhianna Dorris and Angus Imrie pose together on the red carpet at the premiere of The Kid Who Would Be King gala screening held at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London on Sunday (February 3).
