It looks like Beauty and the Beast has found its Gaston – actor Luke Evans is currently in negotiations to play the cocky Disney character, Variety reports!
The 35-year-old actor will star in the role opposite Emma Watson, who has been previously announced to play Belle.
Luke is no stranger to musicals – he has starred in many West End productions in London, England such as Rent, Miss Saigon, and Piaf. We can’t wait to hear his Gaston tunes!
No official word has been passed down from Disney just yet.

The 35-year-old actor made an appearance on this week’s episode of The Graham Norton Show and he appeared alongside Emma Thompson and Hugh Grant.
If you can remember awards season well, you probably recall Emma‘s amazing photobombs that she did of people like Lupita Nyong’o and others. Well, the topic of course came up in conversation and she couldn’t help but give Luke his own photobomb right there on the couch!
