Maddie Poppe is joined by Caleb Lee Hutchinson during the visit to the Empire State Building in New York City on Wednesday (August 15).

The two American Idol alums have been on tour with the show since earlier this summer.

After their visit and performing on GMA this morning, Maddie left a cute little note for Caleb on her Instagram.

“What an angel, truly. A gift God sent to help me through some of my most overwhelming days,” Maddie wrote with a cute pic of Caleb. “His heart is so big even when others don’t deserve his endless love and compassion. He makes me smile when I want to cry and looks at me in a way I never dreamed a boy would.”

She continued, “He is understanding beyond words and grants me patience when I’m the most difficult version of myself. I love you so much Caleb, you’ll always have my heart.”

So sweet!

We all got our wish – Maddie Poppe and Caleb Lee Hutchinson ARE working on something together!

The reigning American Idol winner opened up about their collaboration with On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Thursday (July 5).

“We are actually working on a song together right now,” Maddie shared during her interview.

She added that the duo will be performing a song together on the tour, but it won’t be their official debut just yet.

“We’re going to write [an original] eventually,” Maddie says, “but it’s [the song on tour is] a cover for right now.”

Maddie Poppe just released her very first music video for “Going Going Gone”!

The reigning American Idol champion teamed up with director Jeff Venable for the fun visual which was filmed at historic movie ranches in the California desert.

In the video, Maddie goes on a spur-of-the-moment road trip but runs into a few problems along the way.

“This was my first major video shoot, and everyone involved made it really fun,” Maddie shared. “I love how the rhythm of the song syncs up to the drive.”

Maddie Poppe and Caleb Lee Hutchinson have officially known each other for six months!

The American Idol winner and runner-up’s relationship was revealed just before Maddie was crowned the winner last month on the show and since then, we’ve gotten a ton of cute moments.

To celebrate their meet-versary, Maddie shared a cute tribute on her Instagram Stories over the weekend.

“It’s been exactly six months since I met Caleb, I’ve been changed for good,” Maddie started, before sharing a few cute video moments she had of Caleb, including his Luke Bryan impression.

“Once he pulled out his Luke impression, I knew he was a keeper,” she notes.

Maddie adds, “You make me happier and happier every day. So grateful to have found you.”

Even if you watched the 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards live, you definitely didn’t get to see these super cute behind-the-scenes moments!

Tons of stars got together for the event held on Friday (June 22) at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.

Meghan Trainor posed with her fiance Daryl Sabara, and Bailee Madison snapped a pic with her boyfriend Alex Lange.

Charlie Puth gave music producer Marshmello a thumbs-up as they met up backstage, and American Idol winner Maddie Poppe and “yodeling kid” Mason Ramsey totally shared a moment as well.

Also hanging out backstage were Hero for Change award winner Carlos Polanco, Stuck in the Middle‘s Isaak Presley and Kayla Maisonet; Raven’s Home‘s Raven-Symone and Isaac Ryan Brown; Andi Mack‘s Sofia Wylie, Asher Angel, Peyton Elizabeth Lee, and Joshua Rush; Walk the Prank‘s Jillian Shea Spaeder; and Cloak & Dagger‘s Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph.

Maddie Poppe takes the 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards stage for a stripped-down performance of her debut single “Going Going Gone!”

The winner of season 16 of American Idol delivered a breathtaking version of the song on Friday (June 22) at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.

Before her performance, Maddie‘s American Idol judges and other stars shared their thoughts about the singer in a video montage.

Maddie dazzled in a black dress as she showed off her vocals and strummed along on her guitar.

She and The Voice winner Brynn Cartelli also teamed up to present the Icon Award to Kelly Clarkson.

Brynn Cartelli just keeps on winning!

Not only is she the youngest winner of The Voice at 15, and was lucky enough to be coached and mentored by Kelly Clarkson – she was also her date at the 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards!

The “Walk My Way” singer stepped out on the red carpet with Kelly, and was lucky enough to also meet the new American Idol, Maddie Poppe, too!

Former Voice contestant Brennley Brown and singer Kalie Shorr are also pictured below at the show.

The 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards will take place TONIGHT, Friday, June 22nd from the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, and air tomorrow, Saturday, June 23rd on Disney Channel, Radio Disney, the Radio Disney app, and the DisneyNOW app.
