Madison Kocian waves to the crowd after winning the silver medal in the Women’s Uneven Bars Final during the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics on Sunday (August 14) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The 19-year-old gymnast came in second to Russia’s Aliya Mustafina. Germany’s Sophie Scheder took the Bronze Medal.
Gabby Douglas also competed on the Uneven Bars, placing 7th overall.
“Ok Gabby! That was a true FIGHT if I’ve ever seen one. Save of the century but finished strong,” Shawn Johnson continued her live tweeting, adding later, “As gabby goes… the ENTIRE arena is dead silent EXCEPT for the USA girls who you can here echoing with ‘GO GABBY!’ ‘FIGHT’ ‘COME ON!!’”

The 22-year-old team captain of the Women’s team wrote the best reaction on Instagram last night: “REDEMPTION BABY. That is all. Good night.
Simone, 19, added on her own Instagram, “August 11, 2016 | Tonight my dream came true. There are no right words to describe the feeling right now. Can’t thank everyone enough for all the endless amount of love and support. much love, your 2016 Olympic Champion.”

The girls decided to call themselves the Final Five, as Martha Karolyi, the coach and the national team coordinator for USA Gymnastics, is retiring this year and this is her final team.

The ladies of the USA Women’s Gymnastics Team celebrate their big win during day four of the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics on Tuesday (August 9) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The US Women’s Gymnastics team absolutely dominated the qualification round for Artistic Gymnastics at 2016 Rio Summer Olympics on Sunday (August 7) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Simone and Aly will compete in the All-Around competition. Madison was number one on the uneven bars and will compete in the final for the medal.
Simone, Aly, Gabby, Laurie, and Madison will compete on Tuesday in the team final, before the All-Around on Thursday. Individual events start on August 14th.
Simone Biles had officially made her Olympic debut during Women’s qualification for Artistic Gymnastics at 2016 Rio Summer Olympics on Sunday (August 7) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The 19-year-old gymnast earned the top spot on the leaderboard during the floor routine, with Aly Raisman in second, Laurie Hernandez in 4th and Gabby Douglas in 8th. Simone is also leading the vault.
After arriving in Rio earlier in the week, Simone connected quick with Brazilian gymnast Arthur Nory, even calling him her “Brazilian Boyfriend” in a cute pic on social media.
