The 15-year-old A Series of Unfortunate Events actress stepped out at the premiere last night in New York City and it hit us really hard just how much she could be a long-lost sister to Sabrina and her real-life sisters, Sarah and Shannon.
Looks like the Baudelaire kids are not only going to the circus in season two of A Series of Unfortunate Events, they’re IN it!
Netflix released a brand new, behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming season and it’s full of new scenes from the episodes.
If you don’t know, A Series of Unfortunate Events recounts the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans – Violet, Klaus, and Sunny – and their extraordinary encounters with the devious Count Olaf who will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance.
Foiling his many dastardly plans and disguises, the young siblings discover clues to their parents’ mysterious death, links to a covert organization, and begin to unlock long-held family secrets.
The show — which recounts the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans and their extraordinary encounters with the devious Count Olaf who will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance — will have 10 episodes in the upcoming season two, and only seven in the final, third season.
“It was always the plan to do [just] three seasons, which I really liked,” Neil Patrick Harris, who plays Count Olaf, told TVLine.
He adds, “It makes me feel like we’re doing a specific piece of art, as opposed to just hoping that the zeitgeist holds us up for as many seasons as people can stomach.”
Stay tuned for more scoop on season two, which premieres on Friday, March 30th!
In season two, the Baudelaires face a “shack full of crabs, a tyrannical vice principal, murder, kidnapping, high fashion, unnecessary surgery, ravenous lions, and a great deal of herring”.
The season’s tagline is “this season is so much worse.”
The two young stars of the show each shared a handful of pics on their Instagrams, which turned out to be all blurry and cracked.
“I would have liked to share a sneak peak for something big coming tomorrow but unfortunately the pictures didn’t turn out that well,” Malina captioned on her account, and Louis echoed her statement on his.
The upcoming season two will have 10 episodes, covering five books in the series: “The Austere Academy”, “The Ersatz Elevator”, “The Vile Village”, “The Hostile Hospital”, and “The Carnivorous Carnival”.
“If you couldn’t tell from the looks on our faces, Season 2 of A Series of @unfortunate Events is going to be much (much!) worse for the Baudelaires,” Louis teased on his Instagram.
