The brand new season six poster for The Vampire Diaries is here and Stefan (Paul Wesley) is holding hands with Elena (Nina Dobrev)!
Of course, it may not be a romantic thing. It could symbolize them leaning on one another as they try to move on from Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Bonnie’s (Kat Graham) deaths. Speaking of whom, the unlikely allies are seen locking arms too, which sends a pretty strong message that they will be bonding wherever they are.
Meanwhile, Caroline (Candice Accola), Tyler (Michael Trevino), Matt (Zach Roerig), Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), Alaric (Matt Davis), and Enzo (Michael Malarkey) are also featured.

Nina Dobrev shows a little skin in the new portrait photos for the upcoming season of The Vampire Diaries released on Monday (September 15).
The 25-year-old actress was joined by co-stars Candice Accola, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, Michael Malarkey, Steven R. McQueen, Zach Roerig, Matt Davis and Michael Trevino for the pics.

The day before the panel, Ian tweeted about his excitement to head back to Comic-Con.
“I’m en route San Diego-watch out… I can’t wait to give you a kiss #ComicCon2014 or #ComicCon Pucker up,” he tweeted.

It’s official — Matt Davis is officially coming back to The Vampire Diaries!
Matt’s character, and fan favorite, Alaric died at the end of season three after he was essentially used as a pawn in Esther’s twisted game and refused to complete his transition into a vampire. He died in one of the saddest scenes of the entire series.
Since then, he’s popped up here and there, mainly to check out his old friends and old drinking buddy Damon (Ian Somerhalder). In real life, Matt had landed a starring role in the short-lived CW series Cult.
In the fifth season finale, Alaric had the chance to come back to life, through Bonnie, and he took it. It looks like he’ll be the one consoling Elena after – SPOILER ALERT! – Damon’s tragic death.

Paul Wesley suits up for The Vampire Diaries 100th Episode Celebration on Saturday night (November 9) in Atlanta, Ga.
The actor was joined by his rumored girlfriend and The Originals star, Phoebe Tonkin. Claire Holt and Matt Davis were also in attendance.
