Before the big win, the group showed off their signature style on the red carpet at The O2 Arena on Wednesday evening (February 22) in London, England.
Later, the band looked elated as they were honored with the award for Best British Group!
“Thank you so much. This is mental. We’ve been the same lineup since we were 13-years-old…the only thing we tried to do with our album is get back to that place when we were 14 and we felt alive and music made us feel alive,” lead singer Matt Healy said in his speech.
The band was also joined at the show by fellow nominees Bastille.
He fights feelings of isolation and self-obsession as the video follows him through the murky world of night-time London where things go from bad to worse.

Not only did the band delete their Twitter account, but lead singer Matt Healy posted a very cryptic tweet before deleting his own account too.
It showed a cartoon with two people interacting.
One asks, “Did you hear about The 1975?” and the other replies, “Yeah, I’m shook up man! I wanted that to last forever!”
It continues, “The hardest part of any relationship is to say goodbye. As much as we might like things to stay the same, change is an inevitable part of life. We can’t simply go on forever – always staying the same, never evolving. So we must leave, with a parting ‘we love you’ – we are already gone.”
The cartoon still lives on the page of their manager, Jamie Oborne, which you can see below. Some fans think this may be a big stunt before they come back with some big news, but that remains to be seen.
Despite rumors that Taylor Swift and The 1975′s Matt Healy are an item, he is now setting the record straight!
The 25-year-old singer went on the Australian radio program 2DayFM and said (via MTV UK), “It’s fake. It’s all bloody fake. It’s a farce!”
“Yeah, we met each other, we exchanged numbers in the same way that a lot of people in this kind of world do and we spoke occasionally,” Matt continued. “And she’s the biggest pop star in the world and I’m in Australia.” So there you have it!
