The Nashville star, the Raven’s Home actress, and the boy band teamed up for the Westwood One Radio Roundtables event held ahead of the award show at Lexus Lounge on Friday (February 8) in Los Angeles.

The singer talked about working with Noah on the Elvis Duran and the Morning Show radio program.
“We’ve done shows together for about a year, and had a bunch of mutual collaborations, like Matoma is a friend of both of ours that we both did a song with. We’re hanging at his show a few months back and we just run into each other a lot,” he said about how they met.
“She had this song and sent it to me, and it was this serendipitous moment of the universe being like wow this is exactly how I feel. I added my story to it and suddenly we had this song. It was beautiful because we come from such different worlds. Here, being a New Yorker and her from the Nashville side. And her family side,” he continued. “It’s beautiful that you find that connection with music that is what connects us all and that’s what connected us immediately. both going through this exact same kind of feeling with our significant others and finding this common ground of realizing it’s hard to find people who really do believe in you and love you.”
“She recorded it first, sent it to me and almost gave me no direction. They were just like hey we want this to be a duet, do you want to be a part of it,” MAX added. “It was all her singing, all girl, it was all if it was a solo song. I spent a day recording everything I could think of.”
Noah Cyrus and MAX combine their gorgeous voices on their brand-new song “Team!”
The “Again” singer and the “Lights Down Low” crooner teamed up for the emotional, largely acoustic track.
“This song and the way everything came together means so much to me,” Noah shared on Instagram. “The cover is actually a photo of my grandparents who met on a Monday, got married on Friday and were together for 29 years until my grandpa passed away when my mom was 19. I wrote this song for someone I love very much and my Mammie and Glenmore inspired so much of it.”
“How many times do I have to convince you that I’ll always be on your team?” Noah and Max sing. “You’re runnin’ your mouth and you’re talking about me, but things aren’t always what they seem.”
