MAX hits the red carpet in a colorful shirt at the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Sunday (March 11) at The Forum in Los Angeles.

The “Lights Down Low” singer was joined by his wife Emily as well as fellow, former Nickelodeon stars James Maslow and Kendall Schmidt.

MAX starred in the Nick movie Rags, while James and Kendall made up half of the boy band Big Time Rush.

While none of the guys are nominated tonight, MAX will take the stage for a special appearance, according to his Twitter.

Tune in to the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards, hosted by DJ Khaled and Hailey Baldwin, TONIGHT at 8pm ET on TNT, TBS, and TruTV.

MAX is opening up about his proposal to his wife Emily, including how he used one of his hit songs “Lights Down Low“!

The singer and former Nickelodeon star shared in a interview about how he wrote the song and how it came to life.

“The music kind of surrounded that hook, and then we wrote all the lyrics around the hook, which is rare,” he told Billboard. “But for this one, it was just this encapsulated feeling… what are the things that you really soak another person up with?”

And as for how he asked his wife to marry him?

“I actually proposed to my wife with the song with a harp player and I sang it to her,” he added. “Those little moments are the ones that you really remember… just laying with someone you love, and their head on your chest, and just the little tiny things that really sort of encapsulate a story.”

MAX is giving us the weekend inspiration we all need!

The musician took to Twitter to share how he got called a “freak” but that he doesn’t care, and he embraces it.

“Got called a freak today because of my outfit, the way I speak, my painted nails. It fired me up but in the best way,” he wrote. “I am PROUD to be a freak. Freaks push the limits. Freaks cause change. Freaks are THEMSELVES. To all the freaks out there, NEVER STOP BEING EXACTLY WHO YOU ARE!!”

Earlier in the week, he shared more inspiration. “You can only be your best. Not someone else’s best. So why compare yourself. Focus on you. Be inspired by others.”

The “Supernova” singer attended the event held during 2018 Grammys Weekend at Skylight Clarkson on Thursday night (January 25) in New York City.

He was joined by Hailey Baldwin and Fifth Harmony‘s Normani Kordei as well as Khalid, Julia Michaels, Alessia Cara, Lil Uzi Vert, SZA, and Logic, who all took the stage to perform.

Also in attendance were Kim Petras, Kelli Berglund, Rachel Platten, Martha Hunt, Justine Skye, Max Schneider, his wife Emily Cannon, and Pentatonix‘s Kirstin Maldonado, Matt Sallee, Scott Hoying, and Kevin Olusola.

MAX takes the stage at Live at the Atrium at Westfield Century City on Thursday (December 21) in Century City, Calif.

The 25-year-old musician performed a free show as part of a holiday concert series with 102.7 KIIS FM.

MAX recently finished up a tour with Why Don’t We and gushed about them on Twitter.

“Had like 20 shows this month with these new homies. Delightful and wonderful humans,” he wrote.

MAX will next head over to Europe for a seven city tour across the continent. He has shows in Berlin, London, Paris, Amsterdam, and more.

The trio hit the red carpet at the event held on Friday (December 8) in New York City.

Sabrina rocked a white coat and matching pants with nude heels, while Olivia stunned in a studded bodysuit, metallic gold jacket and skirt, and thigh-high black leather boots.

They were joined by Jacob Sartorius, James Maslow, Max Schneider, and Erika Costell.

The group also performed – as well as signed and checked out different gift items – at the Z100 & Coca-Cola All Access Lounge at Hammerstein Ballroom.

MAX just dropped a song with DJ producer Audien and it’s so amazing!!!

Both of the musicians spoke to JJJ about their “One More Weekend” collaboration and the track is going to be your jam.

“So insanely excited that this song is finally out. It’s meant a lot to Nate and I for a while now,” Max shares.

Audien adds, “If you’ve ever had someone come into your life from out of nowhere, and become instantly obsessed with them … this jam is for you.”
