Meredith will be going to Austria for the 2017 Special Olympics Winter Games March 14-25 to watch and support her athletes. We asked Meredith a few questions about the project.
JJJ:You mention in the video this is close to your heart. Can you please explain why? Meredith: I am extremely inspired by the strength and dedication these incredible athletes have! They remind me and millions of people to do your best no matter what.
JJJ:Do you have any close friends or family members with disabilities? Meredith: I know many people with disabilities that don’t let it deter from what they want to accomplish in life. Their positive outlook and ability to persevere in every aspect of life constantly inspires me.
JJJ:Has someone with disabilities impacted your life in a profound way? Meredith: Yes, I’m inspired by the strength and confidence that they shine onto others. Their stories inspire me and impacts many other people around the world. They don’t let fear or self doubt get in the way of their dreams.
JJJ:Outside of the Olympics, what are you most excited to do and see and eat in Austria? Meredith: I’m so excited to experience a different culture and way of life! I want to immerse myself in all that Austria has to offer. I would love to visit some of the historical buildings and see the beautiful architecture in Graz. I’ve heard their schnitzel and coffee are amazing so I’ll definitely be spending some time in their local restaurants!

They aren’t just there to enjoy all the fantastic indie movies either, they’re there to speak at a super cool panel.
“Honored to join @gigigorgeous on a panel at #sundance about using @youtube for social change,” Tyler shared on his Instagram. “Sure, she’s an inspiration to millions, but i love that she’s also just a hilarious friend.”
Gigi is also pictured below at the NYLON x Dream Hollywood Apres Ski party with Harley Quinn Smith and at her documentary premiere of This Is Everything: Gigi Gorgeous.
