“We will definitely see Ian Somerhalder and Kat Graham on the show,” Executive Producer Julie Plec confirmed to EW after their characters’ deaths. “I mean, there’s a million different ways that you can do that. But as far as in what context – how, why, and where? – that’s part of the mystery.”
She also addressed rumors that the show was ending after next season. “No. It’s not on our radar yet,” Julie said. “You could ask 10 different people that question and you’d get 10 different answers, in terms of how long the life of the show is. Warner Bros. would say, ’17 seasons!’ And I think I would say, ‘Seven!’ (Laughs) Presumably we’ll land somewhere closer to my wishes or theirs, depending on the circumstances.”

It’s official — Michael Trevino is headed to New Orleans for a guest star spot on The Originals.
EW reports that Tyler will make his way to the Big Easy “sometime soon.”
Michael, 28, dished about his visit, “A lot of fans are upset that Tyler has made the decision to leave as soon as he shows up. I’m getting a little bit of flack for it on the Twitterverse here. I just want to say everything will be explained, and I think Tyler will make it good once he shows up to The Originals�. I think everybody will be happy with Tyler’s reasoning when they see what he’s been up to and what he has planned.”
