Mirai Nagasu and Alan Bersten look ready to perform for the Dancing With The Stars season 26 premiere on Monday.

The duo – named Team Fire, Ice and Spice – chatted with Access Hollywood today about training around the country.

“I think it’s our job to make it look easy as it is in figure skating,” Mirai shares about the training. “But really, we’re putting in hours of work. So, I’m keeping my Olympic body because I’m being coached by this one.”

She also opened up about how Tonya Harding didn’t know who she was when they first met.

“She didn’t know who I was,” Mirai says. “But I know who she is.”

Alan joked, “Clearly she didn’t watch the Olympics.”

Dancing With The Stars premieres Monday, April 30th on ABC.

The team names are starting to roll in the upcoming mini-season of Dancing With The Stars – and they’re seriously so cute!

Adam Rippon and Jenna Johnson are Team Just Friends, while Mirai Nagasu and Alan Bersten picked out Team Fire Ice & Spice.

“‘I’m Fire, she’s ice, and we’ve got a little spice’,” Alan shared with the team name on Instagram, adding, “Plus we love food.”

Meanwhile, Keo Motsepe and softball player Jennie Finch are Team Pitch Perfect (LOVE!), and Witney Carson and luger Chris Mazdzer are Team Move It or Luge It!

Mirai Nagasu is so ready to compete against Adam Rippon in the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars!

The figure skaters will be going head-to-head in the all-athlete season 26, which kicks off on April 30 on ABC.

Mirai was paired with Alan Bersten, and Adam was partnered with Jenna Johnson.

“We have a lot to prove, my first season, [Alan's] second season,” Mirai told E! News.

When asked about taking on fellow figure skater Adam, Mirai said, “He’s ready to steal the show, but he doesn’t know that I’m standing in his way, so I guess he’ll have to take me out.”

“Competitive,” she grinned. “We’re really competitive.”

Alan added that they have completed two rehearsals so far. “The first day I didn’t give her a break for four hours,” he shared. “We were on such a roll. … I think this partnership is gonna work very well.”

The newly-announced team for season 26 of Dancing With The Stars chatted with press at the event, hyping up the new season.

“I never partnered with anyone, but I’m so lucky because I think I have the best partner in the show,” Adam gushed to Access Hollywood.

Adam added about their partnership so far, “I’ve been telling her to push me as hard as she can. I do want to do really well and have a great time.”

He continued later, “I wanted to do something different and out of the box for me; something that I’d never done before. I wanted to push myself in something that was different than being on the ice.”

Mirai and Alan are just one of the 10 couples competing in the all-athlete season, which kicks off on Monday, April 30th on ABC.

“Meet my amazing partner!!! I’m so excited @mirainagasu let’s do this!!!” Alan shared on Instagram just after the full cast was revealed. “Comment your team name for us and we will chose [sic] the best one!”

The rest of the couples are Adam Rippon with Jenna Johnson; college basketball star Arike Ogunbowale with Gleb Savchenko; luger Chris Mazdzer with Witney Carson; snowboarder Jamie Anderson with Artem Chigvintsev; softball star Jennie Finch Daigle with Keo Motsepe; baseball player Johnny Damon with Emma Slater; Josh Norman with Sharna Burgess; basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with Lindsay Arnold; and figure skater Tonya Harding with Sasha Farber.

At last – the cast of Dancing with the Stars Season 26 has been unveiled!

Dancing With The Stars: Athletes features a cast made up of sports stars who were revealed on Friday morning (April 13) on Good Morning America!

The celebs have been paired with 10 professional dancers to compete for the Mirror Ball trophy. In addition, in a departure from previous seasons, this round will only last four weeks.

This upcoming season will kick off on Monday, April 30th on ABC ahead of American Idol.

Mirai Nagasu is officially on Dancing With The Stars‘ radar.

After expressing her want to join the reality competition series in the upcoming all-athlete season, casting director and co-executive producer Deena Katz confirms that they are looking at Mirai.

“I think she’s charming and great, and I loved her before she even said any of this – when she hit the triple axel,” Deena shared in a new interview, before Mirai apologized for her comments that rubbed some fans the wrong way.

She added, “I think she’s [Mirai is] adorable, and I’m still really making the picks on who it is, but obviously she, Adam [Rippon], Nathan [Chen], the Shibutani’s, if I could just do a season of ice skaters, that would be fantastic because I could have filled it up just with them.”

We’d love that too! But, above all, Deena is looking for athletes with a story and personality.

“You can have the best name in the world on this show and they don’t have a personality that’s going to work, then it’s not even worth having that,” she added. “The audience loves to have these people, to watch these people. The point of the show is watching these individuals get out of their comfort zones and taking this amazing journey.”
