Ariel Winter is hoping to keep her red hair for the upcoming final season of Modern Family!
The 21-year-old actress and her co-stars are heading back to set soon and she reportedly doesn’t want to have to dye it back to dark.
“Ariel loves her hair color so much right now. She wasn’t sure how she’d feel, if she’d want to keep it or if it would be a quick phase, but she really loves it, she wants to keep it,” a source told HollywoodLife. “The only thing is she starts shooting Modern Family again soon so the assumption is that she’ll dye her hair back to Alex’s color then but she really doesn’t want to. It took a whole day in the salon to get her hair the perfect red, she really doesn’t want to put her hair through that again so she might wear a really good wig. Or the best would be if producers would agree to let (her character) Alex have a hair makeover but Ariel isn’t counting on that.”
Ariel Winter first showed off her red locks back in May after wrapping up filming on the tenth season of the hit show.

The co-stars attended the event held at Lincoln Center on Tuesday (May 14) in New York City.
They were joined by their other castmates Jesse Tyler Fergussion, Ed O’Neill, Sofia Vergara, Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, Nolan Gould, Eric Stonestreet, Jeremy Maguire, and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons as they posed for photos and took the stage together.
This week, Disney is presenting the new 2019-2020 lineups for ABC, ABC News, Freeform, ESPN, FX, and National Geographic to the advertising and media communities.
The 11th and final season of Modern Family will premiere later this year!

Haley Dunphy’s twins are here!
If you missed the season finale of Modern Family, the newly married Haley (Sarah Hyland) and Dylan (Reid Ewing) welcomed twins on the second to last season finale episode.
To announce the birth of their babies, the show gave them the royal announcement treatment, seeing as how Master Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, the son of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex was just born too.
Sarah spoke to EW about how she handled filming with the newborn babies on the set.
“I wasn’t really paying attention to anything but those g*****n babies,” she shared. “They’re the cutest thing in the entire world and my ovaries were exploding and I was just freaking out about that. I was just like, ‘Give me the babies.’ If somebody else had the babies I wasn’t paying attention to what they were doing with the babies. I was just like, ‘When is someone going to hand me the babies now?’”
The kids of Modern Family gave us a somber reminder on Wednesday (May 8) ahead of the show’s season 10 finale.
Sarah Hyland, Ariel Winter, Nolan Gould and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons took to Instagram to remind fans to watch the finale, but also that’s the second to last finale before the show ends.
“‘This crazy b—h just messed with the wrong crazy bitch.’- Haley Dunphy. It’s the Season 10 finale of @abcmodernfam tonight!! Reminder: It’s our second to last finale!” Sarah wrote on her account.
“Our final episode of season 10 airs tonight!!! ❤️ While the episode is very funny, it’s also a really beautiful episode that you mighttttt need tissues for. It’s quite special ☺️,” Ariel added.
“Season 10 finale tonight! Last one before our series finale next season 😯 Big episode tonight you won’t want to miss. Luke will serenade you with his banjo if you tune in,” Nolan shared.
“TONIGHT is the season 10 finale of Modern Family. Birthdays will be celebrated…kind of. Mostly. You’ll see. And YES, there will be a season 11 😊,” Aubrey posted on her page.

Sarah Hyland sports a massive “baby bump” while shooting Modern Family!
The Vampire Academy star was seen on set on Wednesday (March 6) in Los Angeles.
She was joined by her co-stars Ariel Winter, Sofia Vergara, Eric Stonestreet, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Ed O’Neill.
Sarah got her hair and makeup touched up, and Sofia, Eric, and Ed were all smiles as they walked and chatted together.
The group was filming one of the last episodes of season 10.
Sarah, whose character Haley Dunphy is expecting twins, covered up the prosthetic baby bump with an orange high-slit dress, a black jacket, black booties, and sunglasses.
The cast had their last table read of the season that day as well, as Sarah announced in her Instagram Stories.
“This is how I lay in my trailer,” she said in another video while wearing the belly. “Don’t look at the snacks, they are mine.”
It’s a special day for Sarah Hyland.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, the 28-year-old actress remembered that ten years ago today was the day she booked the role of Haley Dunphy on Modern Family.
“I booked a pilot called My American Family,” Sarah shared with her fans. “10 years later, we’re still doing it.”
Sarah has always been open about just how grateful she is for the series, which opened up a lot of doors for her in her career.

Sarah Hyland and Ariel Winter‘s hit ABC show Modern Family has been renewed for an 11th season.
The show will also end after season 11 and no current episode count has been ordered just yet.
Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ed O’Neill, Eric Stonestreet, Sofia Vergara, Nolan Gould, and more have starred in every season of the show.
“For 10 years, our characters have bravely faced turning points in life and moved through them to great personal enrichment; we have chosen a different path by doing one more season of Modern Family,” Christopher Lloyd, co-creator, said (via THR).
Added co-creator Steve Levitan, “Even after 10 years together, we realized there are still some things our writers don’t yet know about each other’s sex lives.”
