Sofia Carson takes over the stage with an explosive performance during 2018 WE Day UN held at Barclays Center on Wednesday (September 26) in New York City.

The 25-year-old singer and actress teamed up with R3Hab to perform their brand new, chart-topping collab, “Rumors”.

The annual event was hosted by Jenna Ortega and Skai Jackson, and Luna Blaise, Monique Coleman and many more were there to help give back and celebrate.

The event – made up of WE Charity, empowering domestic and international change, ME to WE, and WE Day – fills up stadiums around the world with the greatest celebration of social good.

We are very sad to report that Kenny Ortega‘s beloved pup Manly Boi “Wildcat” Ortega has passed away at the age of 12.

The Descendants and High School Musical director/choreographer shared the news on his Instagram on Tuesday (July 24) and received an outpouring of love.

Stars from both Disney franchises offered their love and condolences, including Manly‘s High School Musical co-star Ashley Tisdale. He played her pup Boi in the second and third films.

“My heart hurts 💔 he was by far my favorite costar to date,” Ashley wrote. Kenny replied, “@ashleytisdale He [had] the biggest crush on you all through his life. Proud to know you! ❤️”

Many members from Kenny‘s films, including High School Musical actors Monique Coleman, Jared Murillo, and Matt Prokop, Descendants actors Kristin Chenoweth, Melanie Paxson, Brenna D’Amico, and Jadah Marie, as well as Rocky Horror star Laverne Cox all shared their love. The Bunk’d star was presented the Pioneering Spirit Award for his work with The Thirst Project by his co-star and BFF Karan Brar and his Descendants director Kenny Ortega.

There was a little High School Musical reunion that night with stars Monique Coleman and Olesya Rulin with director/choreographer Kenny.

Also in attendance were host Michelle Monaghan, Power Rangers co-stars RJ Cyler and Dacre Montgomery, Laura Marano, Garrett Clayton, siblings Thomas and Brielle Barbusca, Steven R. FYI: Michelle wore an Alice Temperley dress. Garrett wore a Topman suit. Dacre wore head to toe Salvatore Ferragamo. Olesya is wearing a Majorelle dress from Revolve and Manolo Blahnik shoes. Cameron is wearing a Gucci suit, a Topman shirt, and an Issey Miyake tie. Niki is wearing a Bronx and Banco dress, Windsor Smith shoes, Amyo Jewelry necklaces, and a Gabriel New York ring and earrings.

Lilly Singh had one of the best date nights ever last night (April 18) in Los Angeles – and it was with her cutie patootie dog, Scarbo!

The digital influencer and actress brought along her new pup to WE Day’s Party with a Purpose at the Peppermint Club gathered WE activists and celebrity ambassadors to celebrate the incredible impacts WE is making to affect change across North America and the world.

The event was the official pre-party for this year’s WE Day Los Angeles, which is happening today!

While there, Lilly, who was also joined by former HSM stars and BFFs Olesya Rulin and Monique Coleman, spoke about her “WHY” reason for getting involved with WE Movement.

She also shared details from her ME to WE trip to Kenya that supported access to education for girls through her #GirlLove Rafiki bracelets.

Alisha Wainwright steps out for the 2018 ipsy Gen Beauty event over the weekend in Los Angeles.

The Shadowhunters actress joined Jenna Ortega, DeVore Ledridge, Monique Coleman, Olesya Rulin, and makeup guru Laura Sanchez at the beauty event this weekend.

In a recent interview, Alisha opened up about an underlying storyline that most fans might not have picked up on — acceptance.

“I feel like a lot of stuff happened in season 2, and I think in season 3, you kind of take a step back and see how do you make the day to day work,” she shared.

“It’s less about the stuff that’s happening, the stuff that’s being done to the people, and more about how the people are connecting with each other.”

“[Like], How can we have a relationship when you’re a vampire and I’m a werewolf? In season 2, we never really had to deal with that, but now in season 3 it’s an issue and one that we didn’t really see.”

Alisha adds, “Now we’re trying to deal with making sure everyone accepts us, and again, it’s a way to touch on a theme outside of the show in a non-political way.”

Lennon & Maisy put on an amazing performance during 2017 WE Day UN at The Theater at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday afternoon (September 20) in New York City.

The two sisters and Nashville stars stepped out at the event with their parents, Canadian country stars The Stellas.

“soooo honored to be performing at #WEday UN with @lennonstella in New York today,” Maisy wrote on her Twitter ahead of the event.

Also at the event were Monique Coleman, Marcus and Lucas Dobre, and 13 Reasons Why star Brandon Larracuente.

Monique actually presented three tri-state area youth with WE Volunteer Now grants, made possible by The Allstate Foundation, to support their school projects.

Last month, the internet lost it when a fan-made High School Musical trailer made its way online again.

The visual saw the core six Wildcats reunite in many different ways and had us all screaming at our screens and shooting off emails to Disney to make THIS movie asap — and it looks like at least three of the stars of the first three movies would be up for it.

KayCee Stroh was one of the first to share the trailer on Twitter, so she’s in.

And so is Lucas Grabeel: “Yeah, I saw it. Kenny Ortega tweeted it and I watched it. It’s great,” he told J-14.


Lucas added, “Yeah, of course. If Disney calls, my door is always open. We work well together.”

Monique Coleman, aka Taylor McKessie, would be in too.

“Honestly, I would do that movie!” she shared with AfterBuzz in a recent interview.

We all know that director Kenny Ortega is in, too. He did say he’d return to direct if Disney offered.

So, for that movie, would Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens, Corbin Bleu, and Zac Efron be in too?
