Monsters At Work season two is on the way!

The Disney+ series takes place the day after the Monsters, Incorporated power plant started harvesting the laughter of children to fuel the city of Monstropolis, thanks to Mike and Sulley’s discovery that laughter generates ten times more energy than screams.

It centers on Tylor Tuskmon, an eager young monster who graduated top of his class at Monsters University and always dreamed of becoming a Scarer until he lands a job at Monsters, Incorporated, and discovers that scaring is out and laughter is in. After Tylor is temporarily reassigned to the Monsters, Inc. Facilities Team(MIFT), he must work alongside a misfit bunch of mechanics while setting his sights on becoming a Jokester.

The show was renewed for a second season back in June 2022, with Billy Crystal (Mike Wazowski), John Goodman (James P. “Sulley” Sullivan), Ben Feldman (Tylor Tuskmon), Mindy Kaling (Val Little), Henry Winkler (Fritz), Lucas Neff (Duncan) and Alanna Ubach (Cutter) all returning.

Billy Crystal aka Mike Wazowski Gives Update On 'Monsters, Inc' Series 'Monsters At Work'

Billy Crystal aka Mike Wazowski Gives Update On 'Monsters, Inc' Series 'Monsters At Work'

We’re finally getting a new update on the upcoming Monsters, Inc. series for Disney+!

Star Billy Crystal, who voices Mike Zazowski, recently opened up about the new show, Monsters At Work, which is a sequel series to the original movie.

“It’s fantastic looking, it’s hilarious, and we’re having a lot of fun doing it,” he told Collider. “We’ve done a bunch [of episodes]. We’ve been on a break because of the pandemic. But some I was able to do at home and some I was able to do in a very deserted studio out in Burbank. To be the only one on the lot was a little weird. But yeah, we’re progressing. I don’t know when they’re gonna start [being released] but I promise you they’re really good.”

Here’s a synopsis: The series picks up six months after the original movie story, with the Monsters, Inc. power plant now harvesting the laughter of children to fuel the city of Monstropolis, thanks to Mike and Sulley’s discovery that laughter generates ten times more energy than screams.

Monsters At Work follows Tylor Tuskmon (Ben Feldman), an eager and talented young mechanic on the Monsters, Inc. Facilities Team (MIFT) who dreams of working his way up to the factory Laugh Floor to become a Jokester alongside his idols Mike and Sulley.

The news was first announced back in 2019, with a 2020 release date, but of course, it’s been pushed back to 2021 like many other new movies and shows.

Monsters, Inc stars will return to voice their characters, including Billy as Mike, John Goodman as Sulley, John Ratzenberger as Yeti and the new character, Bernard, Jennifer Tilly as Celia Mae, and Bob Peterson as Roze, twin sister to his original Monsters, Inc. character, Roz.

Other new voices and characters include Kelly Marie Tran as Val Little, Tylor’s lifelong friend and confidante; Henry Winkler as Fritz, the scatterbrained boss, Lucas Neff as Duncan, an opportunistic plumber, Alanna Ubach as Cutter, the officious rule follower, Stephen Stanton as Smitty and Needleman, the bumbling custodial team and Aisha Tyler as Tylor’s mom, Millie Tuskmon.

Is Boo From 'Monsters, Inc' In 'Toy Story 4'? See The Easter Egg Moment Here!

Easter eggs have been part of Pixar movies since we can remember and there are TONS in Toy Story 4!

We already knew about some – like Hector’s guitar from Coco showing up at the carnival, Dug and the dogs from Up in a painting inside the antique shop, and the original Tin Toy from Pixar’s very first short.

But the most surprising one was possibly seeing Boo from Monsters, Inc. in Bonnie’s class!

A fuzzy depiction of the young girl can be seen several times behind Bonnie while she’s creating Forky.

It hasn’t been confirmed if it is actually Boo, but we’re going to run with it.
