This 'High School Musical' Theory Might Be The Best Theory Yet

This 'High School Musical' Theory Might Be The Best Theory Yet

There are theories out there about everything — but this one about High School Musical might just blow them all away.

There’s another new theory, from Reddit obviously, saying that all three movies are actually one long musical that is separated into three acts.

Apparently, we’re watching a musical of the musical of the musical.

“Everything in the 3 movies is only a musical,” this theorist explained, which is coming to light nearly two years after they originally proposed it.

“This explains the perfectly choreographed dance sequences when they randomly sing songs, the ending scene, and the very fictitious story.”

They add, that “towards the end of High School Musical 3, we see the main cast walking towards the camera until they stand on a stage. Curtains fall behind them as they bow to the audience, and the series ends as more curtains close. While the saying of goodbyes can be dismissed as a gesture towards fans, I think it hints to the true story of the movie series.”

“The name of the series, however, is my most concrete point in this theory. It’s even partially canon that the movies never happened, and were only a, well, high school musical.”

Is your mind blown or even more confused yet? Kenny Ortega, can you please clear this up!

Everything, Everything's Amandla Stenberg & Nick Robinson Clicked Right Away (JJJ Interview)

Everything, Everything's Amandla Stenberg & Nick Robinson Clicked Right Away (JJJ Interview)

It’s really no surprise how much chemistry Amandla Stenberg and Nick Robinson have on screen.

After speaking with them about their new film Everything, Everything – which we loved – it’s clear they have that natural connection that plays perfectly to a couple falling in love.

We caught up with Amandla and Nick to talk about making the film, what their auditions were like, their thoughts on texting culture, and more. Check it:

And be sure to check out Everything, Everything now in theaters!

JJJ: First, tell us about your auditions! Anything you remember from your chemistry read together?

Amandla: We didn’t have a chemistry read. We just showed up to set and it was all guns blazing (laughs). I had an audition while I was actually in Paris. I went on a trip after I graduated high school to kind of see the world a little bit. And that’s when I received the script. So it was a frantic situation to figure out how I could do the audition while I was in Paris. I ended up going to this casting agency down some beautiful Parisian street. Yeah, that was it for me. I read with Stella [Meghie], the director, over Skype. I heard she had me in mind for the role, so it all worked out perfectly. And then yeah, I didn’t meet Nick until we grabbed a coffee together in L.A.

Nick: That was one or two weeks before we left [to go film]. That was great. I knew right away and it was a sigh of relief that we were on the same page. And it was funny too, because I happened to be in Europe in the same time as Amandla. We didn’t know.

Amandla: We were there for the same purpose too. The first thing we said to each other was, “Yeah, I just came back from Europe where I was trying to find myself.”

Nick: That’s not what I said! I think I said…I was doing the same thing Amandla was except I hadn’t just graduated high school. I had never done a Euro trip.

Amandla: We were there to be beautiful humans exploring…so realizing we both had come from doing that, we must have a lot in common.

Uriah Shelton Freaked Out While Working With 'Guardians of the Galaxy's Drax On His New Movie

Uriah Shelton Freaked Out While Working With 'Guardians of the Galaxy's Drax On His New Movie

Uriah Shelton took on a really different role than most fans would expect in Enter The Warriors Gate.

The 20-year-old actor, who we know as Josh Matthews on Girl Meets World, stars in the new movie as Jack, a teen who is magically transported to China and learns to convert his video game skills into those of a Kung Fu warrior.

The flick actually had him working with Guardian of the Galaxy‘s Dave Bautista — and yes, he was starstruck.

“He’s Drax The Destroyer!” Uriah dished to JJJ.

He adds, “Guardians is one of my favorite movies so it was hilarious, I would go into my trailer in between shot set ups, watch Guardians, then go and do a fight scene with Dave. Kind of surreal.”
