The film is a thriller and follows a widowed child psychologist (Watts) who lives an isolated existence in rural New England.

When a young boy (Tremblay) Mary is treating goes missing, and is presumed dead, she becomes convinced that his ghost is haunting her and her bedridden son.

Daisy Ridley and Naomi Watts are set to join the cast of Ophelia.
The duo will take the lead in the film which is based on the Lisa Klein‘s novel that re-imagines Shakespeare‘s classic play “Hamlet” through the eyes of Ophelia.

“Set in the 14th century but spoken in a contemporary voice, Ophelia will put the titular character center stage,” producer Daniel Bobker explained.
Daisy has several other upcoming film projects that were just announced, including The Lost Wife and J.J. Abrams‘ Kolma.
