Some might think that Nathan Sykes and Ariana Grande‘s collaboration on his “Over & Over Again” would’ve been totally awkward — but apparently it wasn’t.
“I think it’s only as awkward as everyone else makes it,” the 22-year-old singer shared with ET.
He added, “I spoke to [Ariana] and I was like, ‘It’s only as awkward as everyone else makes it.’ “If we don’t make it awkward, then at the end of the day, after a couple of weeks, it’s not going to be awkward anymore.”
“It’s not weird to me at all,” Nathan continued. “I think the most important thing for me is that she’s an incredible vocalist and I really think she brings something great to the song. I think it shows real maturity that we can both do this and not really let it bother us.”
“I can’t wait for everyone to hear the new version of Over And Over Again,” Nathan shared. “It’s such a special song to me and I’m delighted that I’m able to share this with not only a friend of mine but also somebody who is incredibly talented.”
